The authors of the dangerous Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) unveiled an amended version this week, but it’s still an unconstitutional censorship bill that continues to empower state officials to target services and online content they do not like.

I am sad that censorship is still, still, a thing that is considered by the people who write the laws in the US. This law is antithetical to all of us who enjoy the freedom to express our views without restraint.
My read is social media companies and Karens. Social media companies because it raises the barrier to entry (would Lemmy be able to handle PII properly?) and gives them even more data.
