Should I be curious about Don't Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro?
I know anime has legitimately taken over the world now, but this seems to be the next series I am curious about after withdrawing from anime and manga due to being the current trends.
Would you consider closing this community?
a) There are no active mods
b) No one is willing to moderate
c) Majority of active discussion is on the other instance
d) Dessalines doesn't understand the anime genre and it's quirks
e) Power users don't feel welcome on lemmy.ml
f) There would be less of community fragmentation and less workload for you
I don't think its a good idea to close it. This is still a decently active community, and hopefully someone will step up to help moderate it, while removing all the lolicon the other server is happy to host.
Entirely depends on what you're looking for in an anime and manga. It's full of hornybait and fanservice, but also does manage to tell a romantic high school story about how you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover and how you gotta keep striving to be your best self while also staying true to your feelings.
It's genuinely wholesome, but also targeted more towards guys. If you're put off by that description, avoid it. If it sounds like your cup of tea, go for it.
Unless you want fanservice, I'd recommend Tomo-chan is a Girl instead. Somewhat similar idea, but it focuses more on Tomo and Jun (the main characters) figuring out what they want their relationship to be, after being friends since childhood. Tomo is possibly the cutest Tomboy in anime.
I liked it. It's a high school romance comedy about a shy artistic sophomore boy who gets teased by an outgoing athletic freshman girl and her friends (and they not so secretly like each other). If that sounds like your thing then go for it.
