According to the NASA press conference, they rewrote the GNC software and uploaded it in about an hour and a half. Mad respect to the software team. Whoever was in change of flipping the laser safety switch before launch, however...
You'd think that they'd have some kind of readiness indicator light up green when that system was enabled. But maybe not.
