DPRK munitions factories are operating at full capacity to supply weapons to Russia in exchange for much-needed food and other necessities, South Korea's defense chief has said.
Well maybe you shouldn’t have put the DPRK in a position where the only way to get food and other much needed necessities is by selling weapons to your enemy.
Good news on one hand. On the other hand, I don't believe a single word that South Korea's defense chief says as a general principle unless there's more evidence.
You're right not to. The news is probably better - far as I understand DPRK administration is much more pragmatic than exchanging artillery shells and short-range missiles for consumer products. Their military probably got some tech help from ours. Sure seems weird DPRK had it's first successful launch of a spy satellite in november of 2023
Sucking all that cheap energy out of Russia and keeping Russia away from the periphery wasn't enough. They really, really wanted to do shock therapy again and get their hands on Russian workers. So far, it's backfired. It's the way of the two-birds-in-the-bush if ever there was one.
