I'm curious how this community feels about Vanguard? I had issues with it when valorant released as well as a lot of my friends, so will probably not be playing league after it's forced onto the game.
Anti-Cheats are almost always just hinderances to average users. Never personally noticed cheating in League that could be detected by such a system.
Hopefully it won't break client even more as it barely works for me: random reconnections, cannot interact with runes, not allowing me to change game modes and other "fun" stuff.
It makes a lot of sense from a technical perspective.
It doesn't really have any more access than any other game you've installed with admin righta. The only difference is requiring it on startup, which helps prevent it from being circumvented.
We may see a day where you can't have games and personal stuff on the same OS. Hell, with the recent Steam issue, you could say we're there now. But if that does happen, it won't be because of Riot.
