Btw https://joinpeertube.org is a thing 👀 Uses the same protocol as Mastodon and Lemmy does, is decentralized, etc.
Problem is a video sharing platform is much more storage intensive than a link or text sharing/aggregation platform
You can restrict signups and have limited upload capacity for members.
