The US presidential election will take place this November and Trump is polling well. What’s his appeal? Why does he remain so popular with voters?

It’s disturbing that the US is so divided. The wheels are falling off the wagon.
True. It's fascinatingly scary listening to their mental gymnastics of why they support Trump.
The scary part for me is not the Presidency. It's that these sorts of gymnastics are not isolated to their politics. It's that they actually believe that they are right. And if anyone opposes them is not worth considering. It's a total divide in even seeing another person's perspective as equalily valid.
Someone that lets them be stupid, violent assholes.
He is to poor stupid people; their idea of what a smart rich person is like.
He hates the things they hate, and gives them permission to mock and hate. He tells them that they CAN say those things the left says you can’t say.
Of course there's no sign of this energy on the Biden side.
That conservative energy is based on delusion and selfishness.
Democrats want the equal opportunity and civil rights in a just society, conservatives want to restrict the liberty of or hurt other people until they bow to their histrionic "ideals".
There is this energy on the left side, but it gets silenced, because it is too woke or SJW.
And I don't think the left will be able to compete without that energy.
Centrists like myself are going to have to choose a side, because the comfortable centrist majority is rapidly disappearing.
I haven't seen that energy.
I hear rational thought on the civil rights side and zealotry at the expense of others on the conservative side.

If you're a centrust, how could you possibly choose the conservatives over the equal liberty party?
I don't understand how anyone on the fence could even consider voting red at this point in time. Republicans have absolutely no policy goals in mind other than "we got to secure our border" and "we need to drill more". Both of which they have already proven by their actions to be just talking points. Everything else that I've seen the Republicans try to push is based on hate and control of the people.
So help me out here, what is it about the right side of things that you might think would be better than the left that's keeping you on the fence?
