Yeah, broadcast TV/cable sucks. But you know how they’ll shoot one season of a show and quickly start on the next season so it’s ready the following year? I liked that better than this “wait two years and we might start on another season” shit. (According to Wikipedia, Peacemaker originally aired January 13, 2022. We should have gotten season three by now, ffs.)
What is worse is when people argue back about quality, except it does not directly correlate to quality. Stranger Things is the slowest show ever and it downhill from season 1.
My daughter was 7 when the first season of Stranger Things came out. Millie Bobbie Brown just said that they have 9 more months of shooting to finish the final season. My daughter will learn to drive before it airs. Re-god-damn-diculous
I was amazed how much I liked the show. Almost as amazed as I was that I liked the second ss movie that led to it.
But, if they put the same kind of effort into the rest of the DC live action stuff, it would be a hell of a lot better. They didn't reinvent the wheel, they didn't bog things down with bullshit, they just told a story and stayed true to the spirit of the character, while doing some damn good dialogue. That's really all it takes to make a good movie or show off of comic characters, but they never seem to manage to keep that very simple formula going.
Just pirate it. WB has told us to do that, because it's the only way you can be sure that you'll get to watch it when you want and keep it forever. Their business model encourages piracy and discourages legitimate purchases.
There's no reason not to support the show creators making a good product by watching it. Artists want you to experience and appreciate their art, and while they would prefer that you pay for it, it's not their fault WB doesn't value consumers.
