Lemmy Ask You
82 0 ReplyI like that one, but a little misleading if it's an IAMA. Maybe Lemmy Answer Anything? Though, LAY has a better ring to it than LAA now that I think about it.

3 0 ReplyThis is perfect, but regardless I'd rather celebrities or whomever don't come to Lemmy.

Probably AMA, it's not like there's anything related to Reddit in the name
27 1 ReplyAnd yet, Reddit trademarked the term.
19 0 ReplyThat's BS! We had AMAs on AOL!
11 0 ReplyAMA : Ask Moi Anything!
5 0 ReplyNo way! Then probably something like Ask Me Something?
4 0 ReplyHow does that work in the US? Since e.g. in the EU you can trademark everything and anything you like no questions asked almost. But it doesn’t mean anything if someone will dispute it. It doesn’t give you any rights or guarantees.

Clearly we call them LAMAs.

AMA is already defined in our lexicon beyond Reddit
9 1 ReplyI asked ChatGPT for an alternative and Question Me Anything sounded the best.

7 1 ReplySomeone needs to make a sub called Lemmy's Insight Exchange and have it be about over-the-top ridiculously fake news articles from all over the world.
Bitch to moderate though.
4 0 ReplyChatGPT might get you in trouble with the BBC on 12, considering that's the name of one of their shows. :p
1 0 Reply“Lemmy Enlighten You” is actually decent.
I tried pose me anything on a girl in college. Didn't work how I planned.1 0 Reply

Since so many AMAs had lots of questions but frustratingly no real answers how about AAQ ... Answer all questions?

QandA? QnA? Short for 'questions and answers'
It's an incredibly broad term and I'd be shocked if anybody trademarked it like Reddit did with AMA.
1 0 ReplyWay too similar to the qanon nuts.

I don't see why the need to change "Ask Me Anything." It wasn't exactly a Reddit specific name or even a cutesy name, such as "AskReddit/Lemmy" is.
