Saw a post on reddit about how romantic movies are set in rich people places with rich people as the stars
So I was going to recommend Ирония Судьбы (The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath) as an example of a working class romantic movie.. but then I realized the setting is probably nicer than the studio-apartments that working class people have in the west.

So Hakim of the Deprogram recommended this film. I watched it, and thought that the main character dude was such a dickhead. Like he just won't leave that strange woman's flat, then flirts with her against her wishes, despite already having a gf.

Another one I'd recommend is Comrades, almost a love story. The couple meets when one is fresh of the boat in HK (hence the comrades title) and the other is working at mcdonalds.
