On the "U-word" from a decade, upgrading my main rig and switch it to Arch.
Still use my laptop on Ubuntu tough.
All with full disk encryption and stuff. Even a bulglar can't access to my data.
Half a dozen off-camera servers on the right.
I turn it off. But yeah, telemitry is a subject. At least it's easy to disable. But yes, I understand the "u-word ewww". Even if I think it's an acceptable distro for "random people". (like grandpa's "one use per week for email" computer)
Framework ones ? Yeah, the last AMD version.
I didn't bought any laptop for more than a decade because the last one had GPU issues because of lack of BIOS update. (unusable on Linux or Windows after W10)
So I used this laptop for server purpose (good CPU, RAM and ssd) but avoid laptops because dGPU (or overall upgrade) support wasn't guaranteed.
Self made. In fact, it's a long ankle-lenght skirt. Black cotton fabric with red wire for seams. (made with a 1930ish swewing machine)
The red cable is my headset.
