This is a place to post limited-time giveaways of full video games that are then
yours to keep forever at no cost (i.e. this is not for steam sales, free-to-play
games, free weekends, competition giveaways, or free in-game items!) Please
don’t repost stuff that’s already been posted or stuff that br...
Howdy pardners, this is a cheeky self-plug for !freegames@feddit.uk, a community I've created to post limited-time full-game free giveaways. It's been going a month or two and I'm already claiming games faster than I can play them, so come and join me and make your what-game-to-play choice paralysis worse!
Technically true, though you can start a free trial of Prime and claim all the games, and then (supposedly) they're still yours to keep after the trial expires. A small hoop to jump through, but it should mean free games!
Since many of us are subbed anyway, they're still something of value that one doesn't have to pay extra money for. And it's really easy to forget about them, so smeg's community is doing a nice service for the rest of us.
All the ones not from Amazon are, and if you want you can just create a free Prime trial, claim all the free games, keep them indefinitely, and give them no money
Ooh, I hadn't considered free tabletop giveaways! Is that a print-at-home sort of thing?
Edit: I misread tabletop RPGs as board games, d'oh! I think somewhere like !rpg@ttrpg.network might be better, but we could have a TTRPG Tuesday or similar.
Pretty much, although these days a lot of folks find it more convenient to have the rules in .pdf for easy access. There's hundreds available. Here's a listing I had posted last night on the @13thFloor magazine I run over here on kbin - happy to crosspost if you feel it fits.
Does anyone happen to know the release schedule (time and timezone) of when they release new amazon prime games? I have a reminder for the epic ones and would like do make one for the Amazon ones.
Roughly every week but I've not really noticed an exact pattern. I believe Lemmy lets you subscribe to a community as an RSS feed so you could use that as a notification if you can get it working!
