Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin feared dead after Russia plane crash
The Russian private military company boss was on the passenger list of the jet which came down near Moscow.
Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin was on the passenger list of a jet which crashed killing all on board, Russia's civil aviation authority has said.
Earlier, Wagner-linked Telegram channel Grey Zone reported the Embraer aircraft was shot down by air defences in the Tver region, north of Moscow.
The jet, which was flying from Moscow to St Petersburg, was carrying seven passengers and three crew.
Prigozhin led a failed mutiny against the Russian armed forces in June.
Grey Zone said local residents heard two bangs before the crash and saw two vapour trails.
Tass news agency said the plane caught fire on hitting the ground, adding that four bodies had already been found.
The aircraft had been in the air for less than half an hour, it said.

feared dead
LMAO. What? Y'all mean "hoped dead"?
26 1 ReplyFeared in the sense that we don't know. All this new information is coming from Russian State Media. Which is the equivalent of being informed of climate change on Fox News.
Even more bizarre, he was seen in Africa seemingly advertising his unit for the conflict developing in the region.
So how did he suddenly end up in Moscow? The place he had to negotiate to flee from only 2 months ago?

I thought he'd just go missing one day and never found
2 0 ReplyI mean... isn't that what just happened? Until we see a body, he could have faked his death, or he could be in the basement of the gulag with everyone thinking he's dead.

I had my money on "fell out of a window", tbh.

Also wouldn't shock me if he put his name on the passenger list and had it destroyed himself to fake his death.
He has to know he had/has a target on his back
4 0 ReplyIndependent journalist Andrei Zakharov, citing an unnamed source, said Prigozhin on Wednesday was returning to Russia from a trip in Africa, where Wagner mercenaries have operated for years and where Prigozhin was recently filmed for a recruitment video.
“It would be a miracle if he’s on another plane,” the source said.>
4 0 ReplyNo body yet?
Edit: a finger has been identified as his
2 0 ReplyThe window was too high.
