We could not fix it up when my mother died in 2012"

- I am sure there are sources for this and it is not just a 50/50 chance or your just flip which side the defender stands?

Should at least put a handrail on the left. This looks like a hazard.
If you time your jump just right off the staircase you can land on the hallway and skip the silver knights
