Yea I have no idea what’s destroying my body either and I’m out in the wild. I think doctors only find shit when it’s stage 4 cancer. It has to be spelled out for them.
Well, that's a whole 'nother topic, but I know the feeling and hope you'll be feeling better.
In my experience, there are no doctors like the docs on TV. Show up with symptoms that aren't a quick match for something they're familiar with, they'll google it same as you already did, and if there's still no obvious answer, you're shit outta luck.
I love the Marshall Project. It's journalism from the perspective of little people, real people, not the ordinary, detached, fair-and-balanced blather that reports Congress cut funding for school lunches, and there was a 6-car pileup on the interstate, and Elon Musk did something stupid, and here's Cindy with the weather...
This sounds so lonely, being locked up while possibly being innocent, having a terrible disease that is not treated because the organisation responsible for this would rather not do anything about it. Probably a combination of indifference, incompetence and costing too much money. Similar to those insurance companies not paying up when they're being called upon.
Meanwhile everybody seems to be okay with this systematic failure: flawed jurisdiction, incarceration and health care all bundled up into one. And those not okay with it lack the power to do much about it.
At least there is this post, raising awareness of the problem and that the Marshall Project and James Keown exist. And awareness is where it all starts.
