The big picture: Carmel followed a playbook different from most Indiana GOP, which focused on cutting taxes and regulation.
Yeah they used taxes and debt through big government to create a nice space to live for many people there. That is outside of the normal GOP playbook for sure.
I would love a boring government. One where headlines like "Government takes fast, reasonable, and appropriate action to resolve issue and improve lives" aren't so fucking rare.
