This is Trump’s last chance to bait the judge into doing something rash that would help on appeal.
Only when Trump is the defendant would anyone consider penalizing over a dozen violations that are each individually bad enough to get normal people jailed for contempt of court "rash".
Enough with the absurd levels of overcautiousness at the expense of seeking anything that even remotely resembles justice already!

However, he appointed SCOTUS justices who are looking for any excuse to overturn the ruling.
