The technological part of this is very cool. But after the last few years I can't help but think, "I wonder how much damage the inevitable solar flare is going to do?"
Depending on the severity it could really be a societal roll of the dice. Could be for the better or for the worse but either way it would cause a decent amount of suffering in the short term.
