Hey, I have Clayman as my avatar, dunno if your name refers to the same Clayman, tho.
Could we stop having animations all over the place without having allowed them.
- Not a huge fan either, but can't really see a good reason to ban them. I'd also rather not see more simple "Hello there" posts, but don't wanna deal with a mutiny on my hands if I start deleting Kenobi.
  
  That said, if it gets out of hand, we'll probably do something about it.

  It's the autoplay that's annoying, if they only played when selected, it would be perfectly fine.
- Are GIFs not allowed on certain communities? Do certain communities alter the thread when federating?

  Yes they are allowed, but they shouldn't be IMO. But I figure I'll just block users who make posts with animated thumbnails, until we can disable it.
