Korean food usually looks amazing and constantly smells delicious but eating it isn't as satisfying. I've had the elote and potato corndogs. Potato was super awkward to eat since it's the width of an upper arm but as short as a hand. Felt like I was trying to pelican a corn cob.
Elote was tasty but just the batter. The dog itself was bland and the batter had pulled away from the dog and fried for too long to get that gold color. The inside was super heated hot dog water and salt.
And the sticks they use are like closet rods. The result is a poorly built fantasy that looks good enough to buy and try but it's not good enough to be a repeat customer.
tbf this is like judging American food based on fried oreos and slushies while valid it's not what normal people make and eat every day, I've actually only had Korean hot dogs in America

that being said Korean fried chicken is better than most American fried chicken except for legit Nashville hot chicken (RIP prince's)
You can't just call a corn dog "potato" and not elaborate
Generally that would be the outer batter is rolled in diced potato for extra goodness and potato-y crisp from the deep fry. They're also often like half meat and half mozzarella sticks inside. If you've never experienced one, highly recommend

Technically, they would be Korean hot dogs. They are very similar to what we in America call corn dogs, but they do call them hot dogs.
Personally, I find the batter too dry and tough and the potato bits are often too firm like they've been overcooked and left under a heat lamp for too long. But they sure get a lot more fancy with them.
