I noticed you also think (from comments on other stuff on Lemmy) that you agree that Taylor Swift jets around too much- so just so you know, a lot of us are on this community to call this specific person out for her weekly flights to “events” (Such as a movie screening in New York, which she flew to, when there was an event that was held within an hour of her home the next day). She peddles fast fashion and consumes and promotes products and companies that have been on BDS lists since October (that people have asked her not to promote). She doesn’t speak out for LGBTQIA2S rights, or about genocide. She also goes to the Apple events every year, and refuses to speak out about the mining in Congo for all of her various devices. Some of us hitched on the petty wagon as a way to find a group who are more willing to call out her (and other celebs) for destroying the planet in the name of profit , and for refusing to call our genocide and other horrible things because it would mess up her IG aesthetic.
