I'm one of those people who answer the polls. "Party?" Republican. "Do you support Donald Trump?" Hell ya! (Hell no) I have a few friends who do the same thing. I hope it throws the polls off enough to give Trump false hope, or at least lights a fire under Biden's ass. Another 4 years of Trump and we'll be fighting Civil War 2.0. Just hoping all those McDonald's burgers catches up to him and he has the big one.
Careful as having polls that make it look like candidate X is going to win for sure might make it so people who would have voted for their opponent will not show up to vote as they assume they'll be wasting their time...
The Biden camp is reportedly quite calm at the moment, in spite of these pollster mind games. They believe 3 things win an election: money, machine, and message. They feel they have the first two on lock, but it's slowly sinking in that they need to do more on message, and tell a story beyond "we're not Trump". I sense that we're hitting peak "First Past The Post" election dynamics; good cop-bad cop with nukes in the holster.
