Thank you so much. Appreciate it.
Yeah, I'd say so. I think it's time to finally get diagnosed lol
It's that an autism thing? I always thought it's just inconvenient for most people and I didn't want to be incovenient
Yeah, but that works on VLC only and it has to be focused. With MPRIS you can eg. pause a song playing in mpd, while having VLC focused
The funniest thing is, people say Linux is not ready, cause [insert feature] doesn't work. The problem is said feature doesn't work on Windows either.
For example pausing/resuming playback across multiple appliacations using media keys. It's not perfect on Linux (not every app uses MPRIS), but it's not great on Winodws either
Free City of Danzig
That's sad but true
Can I ask what do you dislike about both NixOS and Arch, since you've been switching between them? I thinking about trying out nixos but I'm afraid it:s too much of a hassle
Windows (for my entire life) -> Ubuntu (for half a year) -> Kali (for a year; yes, I was that kid) -> Manjaro (half a year) -> Windows (for a short while, my Manjaro broke and I had school) ->Arch (past 4 years) -> now trying out NixOS
Julia, Clojure and Go
From these 3 I think Go is the most straightforward and similar to most industry standard languages.
"Update"
It was my dotfiles, ok?
Obligatory video from one of the greatest channels youtube has ever seen: By Default - There is no private email
Recently I added a custom domain to my protonmail account and during the procedure it makes you do this steps (adding SPD, DKIM and DMARC) to pass all the steps. They tell you exactly what records you have to add, where to add them and what the content should be. These guys are great
I don't agree with the 3rd take. I used both Debian and Arch based systems. Both break equally often (quite rarely), but when smth breaks in a Debian based system there's little support or help, while on Arch everyone is willing to help you and you have Arch wiki, which is in a league of its own. Also thanks to AUR, there so much more software available out of the box on Arch
Multiple choice is statistically better
Tilling WM is all I need baby
That's a gamer, not a software engineer
Today I checked DNSDumpster for my domain and realized that TXT verification records for my email are visible to everyone. Should I be worried? If yes how can I hide them?
I have sonarr, radarr, prowlarr, jellyfin and qbittorrent-nox running on my computer. I want to move it to an sbc so it can run 24h/day and draw less power.
All my media are on a M.2 drive so it's important to have a way to somehow connect it to that sbc.
Fyi I also intend to run AdGuard
What sbc do you recommend for such a setup? Do I have to wait for RPi 5 or are there better alternatives? Of course the best value for money
