As the Elden Ring DLC beats the snot out of players, Hidetaka Miyazaki says toning difficulty down would "break the game itself"
  • man without legs can't run a marathon! who would have guessed? I mean disabilities suck(obviously) but being disabled means some things are impossible, that's why disabilities suck! If you had to enable EVERYONE to be able to do EVERYTHING that would be really nice and all, but quickly turns into an impossible task. I'm disabled myself, there are things i can't do, things that i will never be able to do. but i don't expect everyone else to bend over backwards to make my life easy. life is suffering, living is hard, and everyone has their own problems. i can't eat what i want, others can't play the games they want to play. I'm not going to show up to a restaurant expecting them to know/care/be able to provide, i check beforehand, accept the problems i have, and deal with it. no one without legs will be the worlds greatest runner, no one with poor reaction time will beat eldenring, etc. that's why it's called a DISability you are unable to do something.

  • Just use it. Now.
  • you sure that usb has 32gigs? might be scam one that says it has more space than it does (would also explain the boot problem maybe?) but you said it launched fine once so i'm not sure/a mint iso won't fit on 4mbs? but reformatting should definitely "reset" the usb... . have you tried it with a different one?

  • Had this conversation with someone who chose to no longer be at my table after meeting a blind NPC
  • it could lead to really cool story/character stuff though like jjk: people born with broken bodies but incredible magical powers

Never miss an opportunity for unique challenges/stories.

It could be a hook like fullmetal alchemist or a realization for characters later: they are fine the way they are they don't need to be fixed kind of stuff. simply discounting disabilities takes so much potential out of worlds/stories.

  • Had this conversation with someone who chose to no longer be at my table after meeting a blind NPC
  • I mean that really depends on the world you are set in: if magic is everywhere/can heal anything someone who is blind could break immersion IF there is no good reason (he doesn't want to see for personal reasons, it's a curse and can't be removed etc.)

However if magic treatment is rare/expensive of course there would be lots of disabled people (monster attacks, accidents, diseases, etc.)

Obviously thats not the problem here(the guys just a dick) but it's something i run into a lot when designing worlds/characters: a lot of our real world problems fall apart if introduced into a magical setting.

  • Mom fired as sex-ed teacher after being exposed as convicted prostitute, working escort
  • The fact that prostitition is illegal over there still baffles me. It's just a job and if anyone knows about safe sex it's someone who works a profession tied to it. If i wanted to learn about some hobby i'm sure i could learn more from a professional than some random guy.

  • Youtubers and Twitter
  • Never forget: the average person is stupid, half of the world is dumber than that. The answer: "I don't get it" is probably completely genuine. They are really just that slow.
