Actually there borders, and they are called Schengen. Ireland, Romania and Bulgaria are not in Schengen. Norway, Iceland, Switzerland and Liecthenstein are not in the EU, but still within Schengen

I buy Android Tablet as well. Android devices can be powerful, but software support for more advanced stuff (beyond spreadsheets) is really lacking. Appearently Ipads are far better than Android tablets on that department.

Protons free service doesn't offer mail forwarding. Free gmail does that. Which means that in many ways, protonmail will lock you in. Which is not great.
If you're gonna switch to protonmail, at least use a custom domain. At least then, you can easily switch your provider, without having to change address.
