It was a hard weekend. Your voice is still sore and the eyes crusty from nonstop modding in the Modding fight-thousand jam (mjfk for short), but you have work to do. Your feet find their way to your desk in the living room and you turn your laptop on. The coffee frees your eyes, but your ears are still behind on schedule. A strange voice is somewhere. That is weird, you don't have any music on your headphones. You take them off and immediately hear a loud banging wound from your kitchen. Plates are breaking, even the wooden table sells to get destroyed. You are awake immediately and sprint there, seeing an immensely muscular man fight a snake bodied abomination. They are wrecking your kitchen as you stand there watching them. A poison spit only barely misses you, as the snake body flies through your living room wall. The lifeless body lies there, the big man walks over and just rips its head clean off. You hear that voice again, now very clearly saying "BRUTALITY".
When I say "I like them pixelated" I was not talking about emojis, but this might also work.

Die Bundeswahlleiterin schätzt die Zahl der Wahlberechtigten auf ca. 65 Mio. und 2019 gab es eine Wahlbeteiligung von 61%.
Das sind also ca. 40 Mio. WählerInnen. 0,5% sind also 200.000 Leute. Das sind also schon ein paar Stimmen, aber wenn man mal bedenkt, wie viele Personen bspw. bei den Protesten der LG waren...
Oder andersrum, es braucht grade mal 200 Nazidörfer für einen AfDler.

I mean you do you, but having a "!=" become a "≠" is kinda nice, as are some other = symbols like >= becoming ≥ etc.
Most fonts also allow you to turn of groups of ligatures, that you don't like. E.g. I never liked "/>" becoming a combined character.
So I don't see the hate about "fixed width ligatures".
Okay, that is fair, but since I also program in terminals using held in or (neo)vim, ligatures are a must have for me.
Plus some nerd fonts even upgrade regular loading animations of some cli-tools.
Imagine having only one big task (displaying text) and not even supporting ligatures.

Ein Beispiel ist ein Demo-Umzug in Heidelberg von Impfgegnern mit AfD-Unterstützung: Störende Antifa-Aktivisten sollten von Polizisten weggedrängt werden, um eine Eskalation zu vermeiden. Als sich ein Mann gegen das Wegschieben stemmte, verletzte sich ein Polizist leicht im Bereich der linken Schulter. Das wird als einer der Fälle von Gewalt gegen AfD-Vertreter aufgeführt.
Hat sich da eigentlich mal jemand gedacht "Hmm, vielleicht sollten wir das nicht so in die Statistik reinschmeiĂźen..." oder ist es allen Beteiligten scheiĂźegal, dass die Statistik damit sinnlos ist?
