Eyewitness Account of the Rave Massacre ,Scenes of young women raped next to the dead bodies of their friends, rape victims appear to have been later executed.

  • Do you think VPN companies will start to feel pressure from legal/corporate powers to crackdown on pirating?

With the resurgence of pirating, do you think there will be a “response” from the powers that be?

In general, what would that look like?

Specifically, do you think VPN companies based in the US or friendly countries will start to feel legal or corporate pressure to stop letting people use their services to download copyrighted material?

I just feel like these things always ebb and flow.

    Are you cancelling streaming services?
  • If you set up Jellyfin plus Tailscale VPN, you can access your media server on your phone while you’re on the go. It’s a little confusing to set up, but once you figure it out, it’s amazing. Happy to offer some guidance if you get stuck

  • Are you cancelling streaming services?
  • I see this argument a lot, and I’m sure you’re right, but I was curious, why don’t people set up a url for jellyfin that your family can access over the internet, then they just have to go to a website and log in? Would work for TVs or any device that connects to the internet

  • Looking for selfhosted app for managing and playing podcasts

I’d like to self-host an app to manage and play podcasts from any of my devices via local/vpn.

I found PinePods which is new but looks promising: https://github.com/madeofpendletonwool/PinePods

I was curious if you guys were using anything else?

    Thanks

P.S. sorry if this has been asked before, I couldn’t figure out how to effectively search lemmy communities

Help joining two objects together seamlessly

Hello I was wondering if someone could give me some advice on how to do a thing in blender

I created a human head model in FaceBuilder add on and I have a separate premade human body model. I positioned, scaled and joined them together, but there are some small gaps between the two models

What’s the best way to fix this? Any tools or tips to get me moving in the right direction would be amazing

I’ve been researching the docs, YouTube, chatgpt but getting confused at all the different ways to do things and the different versions of the program.

    I’m using blender 3.5

    Thanks!!!!

Imagine a world where our mothers didn’t experience sexism and misogyny

I’ve come to realize how much of my own mental health issues stem from being raised by a mother who dealt with sexism and misogyny her whole life. Her trauma directly affected my mental health. I’m a man. This is why feminism is good for everyone. Imagine if your mother never experienced sexism, abuse, misogyny, how much better it would be for everyone.

Solution to auto record video / audio calls and store the files

I live in a one party area.

I’ve long wanted to set up a solution to seamlessly record video or audio calls and store them

Seeing how everything went down with Apollo and Reddit made me want to revisit the idea. I was impressed Apollo had the foresight to record the calls.

The way reddit lied and tried to manipulate is the exact sort of thing that I want to protect myself against in the future.

    Any ideas? Thank you

Documentary Film is a broad category of visual expression that is based on the attempt, in one fashion or another, to document reality. Knowledge comes in different ways through our five senses. Hearing, watching, touching, smelling and tasting are the only doorways to the outer world. The wise men ...

How is a company like Reddit “not profitable” yet?

Beyond spez (and the fact that he is a greedy little pig boy), I’m curious about the corporate dynamics that prevent a company like Reddit from being profitable. From an outside perspective, they make hundreds of millions per year via advertising, their product is a relatively simple (compared to industries that need a lot of capital to build their product), and their content is created and moderated for free by users. Could any offer some insights or educated guesses? Additionally, I’m curious how this all ties into the larger culture of Silicon Valley tech companies in the 2010s.
