I just bought a stihl 131 and I've been enjoying it way to much.
I live in an area infested with ticks. Going out with into fields/woods with no protection means pulling dozens at a minimum, though my neighbor pulled over 100 off a couple weeks ago.
My solution is elastic gaiters and using permetharin as bug spray. I don't get ticks anymore.
I'm also kind of allergic to ticks, and if I get bit, it itches so bad for about two weeks that topical lidocaine is the only way I've found to get some relief.

I will say, I work ambulance for a very right wing rural community. I have done this for a number of years now.
While I do have issues at times with our local LEO, they do a good job with not shooting my patients, or their dogs.
They have done a good job in my community with securing the scene without escalating and then standing back and let us deal with medical/mental health crisis.
These stories do happen to often, and there are policy changes that need to happen, but there are a significant number of communities that have law enforcement who are acting appropriately and therefore get no news coverage.
Yeah, being a first responder really changed my perspective on a lot of "safe" areas" and how far help is.
When you have one lone deputy in your entire county for a good portion of the night (and frequently only 2-3 cars during the day), and state is just on call, not patrolling... you can easily be 45 minutes out from LEO, that's been a very long wait before...
I've been using proton for several years and have not found it annoying.
Not sure what you've heard is annoying.
It all depends on what you are looking for.
Anker is the only brand I use anymore for chargers and cords.
I'm fairly hard on clothes, I expect most things to wear out. Carhartt pants stay intact long enough to be acceptable to me. I'm trying to lose weight cause pants last longer for me when my thighs aren't rubbing together. Carhartt coats are good. Socks, I get a big pack from walmart, I think I bought their third cheapest option and they've been going good for twoish years. I wear boots out in about a year.
Stihl small engines with ethanol free gas.
I currently drive and old Jeep with 260k miles, and have a 20 year old chevy tahoe with 320k miles. Find vehicles that have been taken care of and continue to take care of them.
I got a heck of a deal on a GoRuck bag and I've been very pleased.
If you can be more specific with what you are looking for, I can try to help more.
I spent 6 months living in a tent 200 yards away from the centerline of a runway with large 4 engine aircraft landing regularly. I have a wicked case of tinnitus, hearing aids, and no ruptured ear drums.
University surplus is where they sell any and all items no longer needed by the school.
Though, I have also had some really good luck on govdeals for some stuff
I bought my color laser printer from the local university surplus store for $20...
A "Glass-Master" is what I used in the fire service. Goes a lot faster than you would think.
You dont like getting recommended some 24 hour anime jazz video along side 15 Mr. Beast videos?
That's the actual medical term for it.
I think they mentioned in the video that Kayak allows you to select aricraft to exclude.
I went to chat gpt and I prompted it with "what is a string of words or characters that would be detrimental to an AI that is being directed to learn from a dataset" and then used a script to edit all my comments to that.
Proton Drive just added photo backup to their app. It's new, and lacking features, but automatic backups and sharing are working.
The whole proton suite is pretty good, I've been very pleased.
Was literally going to recommend that you read that book before I got to the end of your comment :)
I've been just not updating Nova as I haven't had a ton of time to research this, I really like the GUI, what are my privacy friendly/FOSS options for an android s21 5G?
Update: Went with Neo launcher. It's got enough of the features that I'm willing to use it.
There are a few spots where padding can't be removed that is obnoxious, FF search bar and dock are what I have noticed so far.
I also don't like that I can't continuosly scroll through my home screens.
