It really is absurd. I want someone to create a trend of how many homeless does your church house? Kind of like a competition... in reality some large churches could support 100 and other very small rural ones might struggle to support one.

I was going to make a similar comment. Write into law that investors have to pay 4x property taxes to the town, if the town for some reason doesn't want the taxes then it just goes to the federal government.
It's not complicated to me, just make more. We should have a government funded drug producer for all the generics that the big companies don't think are profitable enough.

I mean there are clear savings advantages to switching to electronic tags. It takes like 30 to 100 man hours every week to swap out labels depending on store size. Thats like 20 to 50k a year you can save on labor by just having them automatically update each week.
Plus the tags/price strips right now aren't free. Probably another 5k you save a year

I am sure its vastly different than other dog's barks, just like the body language is.
But why would they use the bark as communication, if they communicate fine with body language? It's pretty obvious my dog is aloof to other dogs when we are at outings, she wants to join in but can't figure out how to act more often than not.

I would imagine this will eventually show the socialization of dogs. I can't imagine my dog, who was rescued from Hurricane Harvey in some woods in Oklahoma has many distinctive features in her barks. She would have only briefly knew her mother, otherwise she has only grown up around humans and cats.

That whole contract doesn't become void because unicorns do not exist. In fact, if it went to court a lawyer might even argue with a straight face that the supplier must provide something of equal value to a unicorn.
You can write almost any bull crap you want, as long as it obviously doesn't go up against some law and has the main contract elements.
An unenforceable aspect of a contract, won't void the entire contract if it goes to court, unless it's the main aspect of the contract.

I traded my cousin some really expensive RAM that I happened accross for his old desktop, that he put his graphics card into that he swapped from his newer computer. If I plug the desktop into the wall and try to turn it on nothing happens. If I open it up I can see that the where the wire from the power supply plugs into the graphics card there Is a little light on. So clearly some power is getting somewhere...
How do I go about trouble shooting this, and what tools do I need? I assume at minimum a multi meter? Not really sure what to do, it's been decades the last time I built a computer.

Update: So now all of the sudden the fan spins. I am at a loss as to why it spins now, as I haven't actually really done anything. I ordered a speaker for the mobo, so waiting for that.
Final update: It works! I apparently had either a bad monitor or bad display port cable. But using another monitor with DVI I was able to finally get it to fully boot!
I am not sure what got the fans to eventually work, maybe just a cable was jostled.
I really appreciate all the advice! I definitely know a lot more and feel better equipped to do things with it now.

Juicy Juice among other brands touts "100% juice" however if you leave it undisturbed for months on the shelf it never seems to develop any sediment. How can they be 100% juice and not have any solids? What exact process are they using to remove all the sediment and or perfectly homogenize the liquid? You will notice other shelf stable 100% juice brands tend to have a sediment, how do the large brands get around that, while still being pure juice? Is there an FDA definition of "Juice"?

For whatever reason about a week ago, the Jerboa app stopped opening links. It used to open up in Chrome, but now it just opens Chrome to the last page I was on and doesn't load the link.
I am not sure what to do, I don't even want it to use Chrome as the default browser launcher, but I see no place to change it. Anyone know how I can fix this?
I am curious if one, something like this exists, and two what the cost might be? I am looking for a screen, I assume an e-ink is the best/cheapest option and I want it to be as close as possible to the size of a playing card, ideally not thicker than 2MM. But I think up to 5mm could work.
Basically the idea is to use and or eventually create very thin cheap e-reader screens to make programmable playing card games. I have no idea if the screens are even that small, when I go to look for them I get results that are very far from what I am looking for.
Anyone know if what I want exists, and if not, if it would even be possible to manufacture for cheap?

The idea is that all the "cards" would be inserted into a carring case that acts as a dock to update the cards. Once you pick your game, all of the cards refresh to whatever game you picked. I would want to make the games open so anyone can design a game for people to play.
