I remember from the book Volokolamsk Highway that the author emphasized at several points that damn near every nazi soldier who was wounded even slightly would stop fighting and just scream at the top of their lungs until evacuated. As a guy who has always dressed drab and frumpy and tried to not be perceived physically my entire life, it's been legitimately confusing when people say "cool color!" to me out of nowhere lol
