Oklahoma its based on last 18 months. But in Texas when I had to collect it. It was based on the life time of employment. I had like 20k in unemployment availabile to me. Since I had gone 10 years of employment before collecting. I didn't get much think it was 200 a week. But according to the paper I could have collected that until the 20k was spent.

Oklahoma no matter how long you work its 18 months. Which for me lasted 5 months.

Unemployment is shit in Oklahoma. Worked 6 years for one company, got 5 months of unemployment. Took much longer then that to find work.

Already reached out to them all. Used back in the day when I did warehouse and factory work. Now they just take your resume and you lucky to get an interview with any company. They used to send you to work, now they don't. Well at least for any kind of pay. Got fucking jobs offering 16 an hour and expect you to have a bachelor's degree. Like what the fuck. If I hadn't hurt my foot still be at the glass plant making 25 an hour.

Shit it sucks in the city. Just spoke to someone that owes me a check. The company said it went out n the mail Tuesday. This is local the place six blocks away (wish they had let me pick it up) should had it next day.

I wish it was real for just that.

Trying to get my insurance license, I have learn a shit turn of martial so I can at least get a 70 on a test. That all they care about. On top of that once your license they don't care what your score is. Lady teaching this course said that she knew a lady failed that test 16 times before passing.

But also 15% to 20% of what your tested on and is the hardest to learn is commercial. And 99% of what you learn won't be relevant. My former boss at State Farm said that to me. Says we don't do things the way you will be taught. But couldn't tesch me their way until I was license.

I had them when we bought our house. A tornado game around the second year. They sent me a check for 6k and expected me to get someone to do only half my roof. Took me little over a year and half. Found a guy who did the whole roof for the 6k. I turned in the recipient and pics and they sent me another check for 7k. I said what's this? They said thats what the claim was for. They estimated 12k. I told them if they paid that up front I would have gotten job done a year earlier. Because I gave them a quote I had gotten for 11k. Joke on them I got pocket that 7k, because whole roof was done for 6.

Of course they raised my rates for filling a claim. Which is one of the biggest scams on earth. Insurance is supposed to be the transfer of risk. They are supposed to protect you. But if you file they raise your rate.

Reminds of the story of this old guy. Had AllState for 20 years. Always paid, never had a claim. He gets into a fender bender and he said they raised his rate. He was pissed. Twenty years of monthly payments. Paid in way more than the wreak cost, and they fuck you.

Also State Farm supposed to be a mutual Insurer which means your supposed to get a check at the end of the year for any unused money. Has anyone ever gotten a refund or money off the renewal?

I just left a job with State Farm. They also the most expensive and go out their way to fuck you hard.

Happens to me all the time. I also find even when I use proper grammar it will get messed up when I post. Because I read over it before I post and still isn't right. Most times I say fuck it. I just hate using a tiny keyboard, but I am not sitting at a desk doing Lemmy all day.

Yeah the last few years his book bug the shit out of me. I read fiction to turn off the real world. Instead he mixes the two. I love the Holly character but goddamn Stephen they don't have live in out universe. Take Jonathan Kellerman abd the Alex Delaware novels. Set it LA not once brings up Trump or Covid. Just a good old detective novel. But it too gone down hill. His books used to be detailed filled and I can remember the plots and everything. Now he just turning out quick stories that aren't all that exciting when you find out who done it.

This post makes me sad, as a huge Stephen King fan (I have just about everyome in Hardback no less) I really hope his comment is sarcasm anc please tell me he isn't on that list? Hell my son got into collecting his books too. We also were getting ready to watch that new show The Institute on MGM plus.

I played it with my kids. We kinda did a Lan thing, using Discord to communicate. It was fun for that especially when we play a hide and seek game. I also used it to make a game, even paid for premium because was told it's how you can get paid. But I never saw money and I let it go. Now my kids are grown all except my 16 year old and he isn't interested in playing with dad. But he does still play Roblox with his friends.

Linkedin is garbage and I deleted my profile on there years ago.
