Ohio's Republican governor signs measure ensuring Biden appears on the fall ballot
  • Ohioan here.

This came at the consequence of a nebulous “anti foreign funding” bill for ballot issues. Sounds harmless but 1) we already have laws against this and 2) republicans’ story around the abortion amendment that passed last year is that it was funded mostly by out of state entities, so we know that’s a card they want to play with more force.

Mike Dewine is a republican but is truly prolly the most moderate guy I’ve seen on that side of the aisle. He did a really good job of handling covid here, and other than the usual republican stances on weed or abortion, he’s generally likable.

That said, our republican legislature is not likable. They fought tooth and nail to keep from even having to make this decision, and when they finally did, they had to do it on their own terms.

  • Wholesome airport staff
  • I’d be absolutely devastated to lose a stuffed animal when I was a kid. I’d be quite sad now even. I’m so glad they did this for him ❤️ I bet that kid’s whole world changed

  • We got options rule
  • Lmaoooo I adore guys like this

Talked to a guy from tinder and I’m like “I’m trans” he goes “bottom?” and I’m like uh yeah… and he goes “k then what’s the difference” lmfao

  • Nasa to create time standard for the Moon, where seconds tick faster than on Earth
  • My guess is because the time scale is different, not just the hour offset. “Seconds tick faster than earth” — this would imply that if using UTC, the moon would move from one offset to another, then another and so on over time.

  • How do you find out about new games?
  • Video games?

I watch “let’s game it out” on YouTube a lot and every so often he plays a game where I’m like “ooo that looks really fun”. Currently playing cities skylines and loving it.

    Also steam sales.

  • Voters approve Pride flag ban in first-of-its-kind ballot measure in Huntington Beach CA
  • Correct. When a local government makes a statement like that, tourists hear it. It’s not the absence of a flag that would cause people to not want to go there, it’s the statement made by the local government. A highly unnecessary action too, btw. Why shouldn’t pride flags be allowed? There is only one reason to oppose them: bigotry.
