Robertson's Future With the Leafs & 3 Leafs Who Could Have a Big Impact in the Playoffs
  • It's hard, but the leafs have more freedom to move him around game-to-game. It is weird that guys like Holmberg get more praise than Robertson. Either way, this was a big year for Nick to show that he can stay healthy. Seems like he's in a good spot mentally also. I'm don't think it'll be good for his confidence to leave him out of the playoff line up.

  • Who's due a refresh?
  • I'd say Anaheim, Chicago, and LA need a refresh badly. Anaheim's and LA's unis are just boring, but Chicago is probably #1 for me because of the imagery. With the amount of great looking indigenous celebration jerseys, it's shown me now more than ever that Chicago can do a better job. I'm sick of the argument that it's classic.

  • How many stinkers did you play this year?
  • Hellboy: Web of Wyrd. Huge Hellboy fan, got it day one. The art style is fantastic, but that's the end of the good. Uninspired combat and clunky controls completely ruin what would have been a mediocre game. As great as a voice actor as Lance Reddick was, he wouldn't have been my choice for Hellboy.

  • Atlas Fallen. Open world action/adventure with light rpg elements. The new ideas this game tries are all amazing, but the execution is... fine? Combat is great with very customizable skills, the story exists, exploration could be better. Lots of mixed reviews, but for a new ip from a medium-sized developer, deck 13, I'd say it's very enjoyable. And it's on sale on ps5 already.

  • I played that a few years ago, but I just finished Ys 9 a week and a half ago. I agree with your assessment of the story arcs. Lots of "wtf is going on?" for the first 75%, but when everything comes together it's at least unique.

And then you have to kill god because it's a jrpg.

  • Hellboy: Web of Wyrd. I'm not really enjoying it very much. I LOVE the comics, but this game is rough. The art style is amazing. It's like it was pulled straight from the comics. The gameplay, however, isn't great. It's a rogue-like with very basic combat. Dodging and blocking are not super responsive. Already feeling stale after just a few hours unfortunately.

  • My thoughts exactly with AC6. I still really enjoyed it overall, but the fromsoft™ bosses® took away my desire to play more than I did. Having played all of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen games, being able to walk through the entire arena mode with the first equipment you can buy was also a little disappointing for me.

  • Exclusive: US to send depleted-uranium munitions to Ukraine
  • I agree. It's a tough choice. I stand with Ukraine in this conflict. I just find it interesting that the US, with the largest supply and most advanced military tech in the world, just says "here's some irradiated ammo, go ham"

  • Exclusive: US to send depleted-uranium munitions to Ukraine
  • Depleted uranium is a war crime. Poisons land and people, causes birth defects, leads to abnormal function in the brain, kidneys, liver, etc, leads to certain cancers. It's easy to make the call of sending these munitions overseas when it won't be your own populace suffering the consequences.

  • Glad you're having fun! I'd say of you're going to do another round, you might as well just go for NG++ as well and see the "true ending". I'm about to wrap up the third playthrough and it really does add a lot of good content. More choices in missions, more parts and weapons, more battles. Each playthrough gets quicker also. Still 1 or 2 bosses that I absolutely despise though.

I agree on the parts rollercoaster. At least they're not too stingy with money so you can actually buy some new stuff when it becomes available instead of having to grind cash.

  • Armored Core 6. It's quite different from the earlier games in the series. Some good changes, some bad. I really don't get into Fromsoft's games from the past 12 years and was hoping this would be a return to the old AC style, and in some ways it is, but it mixes in so much from their recent successes that it makes parts of the game really unfun for me.

Either way, I'm glad for more Armored Core.

  • Just finished TOTK, so I started Wild Hearts. It's a monster hunter clone that has some great ideas, but the execution isn't always there for me. I had heard the performance was terrible early on for ps5, but it seems to have mostly been ironed out for me at least.
