M1 Carbine, post-WW2 manufacture by Universal Arms, with folding stock & dummy suppressor
  • My favorite gun to use on the NLF side playing Rising Storm 2. In early war they only get access to WW2 surplus weapons compared to the yanks M16s, I always found the SKS to be a bit too much gun for that game, and preferred switching to the 30 round M1 since it didn't really matter how big the bullet was, getting hits in with a faster fire rate was really effective

It's currently on sale on steam atm for like, 1.50 CAD, btw, so I imagine that's like 1$ USD or something. It's a good time playing as the Viet Minh, less so as the imperialists but at least you get some fun options to play as there, such as the Australians.

  • I've been reflecting on how much carbrained infrastructure is in effect just downloading the costs of transport and infrastructure to individual people. Instead of governments paying to maintain public transport, they've colluded with car companies and such to convince people to have to pay their own way around.

  • It's been too long just post bicycle shit in this thread
  • Replaced my old car with an ebike back in June and I just passed 1.2k km on the odometer, fuckin love this thing. Had a weird catastrophic failure recently where the screws popped off the motor faceplate, thankfully I had one left to size check some replacements when support got me nowhere, but after finding the right machine screws I'm back in business.

I got a back rack with a wire basket so I can get groceries, it's so keener. I've been racking the web for a front basket/rack seeing as my frame has some pre-set screws for one, but the company I bought it off doesn't seem to have one available, maybe not in Canada. I found a few that may but it's a pretty expensive risk for a basket that may not fit, those things can cost a pretty penny.

I just ordered a studded tire now that it's getting colder, I intend to try and bike to and fro as much as possible.

  • Far be it for me to judge people trying to cope with the injustice of having their parents murdered by the state, considering they're probably normal libs it strikes me they're trying to exonerate their parents and family by whatever means they have available, since I doubt any actual justice will be served. We Hexbears may think the Rosenbergs were honorable, but the grander liberal society doubtlessly treats them as traitors, and we all know how much liberals love their technicality.

  • My god, the Delusion is off the charts, it's chefs-kiss

Cause clearly, the Ukrainians are building up to D-Day Crimea LMFAO

Edit: huh the thumbnail is tiny, so here's the text: "Ukraine has a 10:1 KD ratio, because the Russian 5:1 artillery round advantage doesn't matter due to Ukraine artillery being so accurate. The 150 Russian glide bombs per day only kill children in Kindergartens and Ukraine does trade land for keeping alife their valuable soldiers while slowly grinding out Russians and preparing a big trap and then doing a big D-Day style surprise naval invasion of Crimea."

Edit2: alas it has been mentioned by others this user was being sarcastic, I'll eat crow on this one 🫠

  • What's a game you loved that got a sequel you came to dislike?
  • Rome 2 was garbage, but it is no mere reskin! have at thee!

  • What's a game you loved that got a sequel you came to dislike?
  • Ooooh, I am gonna fight you over Total War Attila, but I recognize I'm like one of dozens who think that game is good.

  • What's a game you loved that got a sequel you came to dislike?
  • As someone who literally started the series with 13, I can say it wasn't bad but I can't really say I liked it either lmfao. After picking up FF4 on the DS I understood somewhat, but FF13 as a game is fine, but the story is pretty unfortunate.

  • What's a game you loved that got a sequel you came to dislike?
  • That's one that didn't really vibe with me, an interesting case of my hype going down the more I actually learned about the game before it came out.

  • What's a game you loved that got a sequel you came to dislike?
  • Ooh this one is easy, Red Dead Redemption is a tight action game with a solid if sterotypical cowboy story about the end of the Wild West. Red Dead Remption 2, despite it's technical improvements in basically every way failed to draw me in even after hours of trying. I dunno what it is, maybe I just really am not interested in "the Gang in it's heyday" prequel hook, or maybe it's just how much Rockstar decided to try and make the game into a weird simulator instead of a video game. Played a ton of the MP with friends, as our own little posse rocking around, I made a cool half-native looking dude with a top hat and that was fun, but then we ran into the problem of Rockstar just giving up on wrapping any of the live stories they developed so that's a half-dead game right there. Hard to sell infinite money cards with the cowboy game I suppose.

Evil Genius is a pretty fun little strategy game from like 2004 that was an homage to old bond movies and the cold war, it was buggy as hell but it had some really neat ideas and charm to it and I really liked playing it. Evil Genius 2 is the over-polished sequel that utterly failed to live up to any of the first games energy, the art style got all the weird edges sanded off and has no character of it's own, and I feel like the new team just didn't really vibe with the classic's idea. I dunno maybe I should give it another go but it just rubbed me the wrong way.

  • What’s up with Canadians? You guys are getting so racist even I’m starting to hear about your bullshit
  • Just scanned through, 2nd to last paragraph:

While the commission's final report stated that the numbers were grossly exaggerated, the report admitted that it had not investigated materials kept either in the Soviet Union or Eastern Bloc countries, and that it further had not investigated an addendum list of 109 names provided late in the inquiry. Further still, it was later revealed that the commission withheld evidence and ignored the findings of other war crimes trials, such as the Nuremberg trials.

Dictatorship: It's Easier Than You Think!

Can we share comics with the Dunk Tank? It's certainly worthy of it, doing that classic Liberal trope of glossing briefly over the things the Nazis were doing to quickly focus on the ebils of gommulism. I only briefly skimmed it, it was really wrong about a lot so I didn't bother reading more but the characterization of the Molotov-Ribbentop pact as Hitler and Stalin being a twee partnership only for Stalin to be suddenly shocked by Hitlers betrayal is awful.

Tried to find a pirate link to share but it's pretty new and graphic novels are kind of hard to find online
