CR 6 Max extruder issue

I have a CR 6 Max and I took apart the extruder and now whenever I put it back there are always problems.

Firstly the spring is impossible to put back correctly so it never aligns perfectly.

When I managed to screw in the screws such that is was as good as I could make it, now the filament does not insert properly.

How do I proceed from here? Is there an easier way to put it back together? Is it possible to get another extruder that works differently but is compatible with the cr 6 max?

Advice on first 3D printer
  • Since I have a limited selection locally it's all within budget anyways, nothing's much higher than 1k usd.

It looks like the cheaper ones are gonna be a better option (since all the printers have similar specs), but I'm looking for any unique features I should watch out for. They all mention stuff like photoelectric filament sensor or Lidar or AI camera, its a bit overwhelming and i'm wondering if it's all just fluff or should i take it into account?

  • Advice on first 3D printer

I am looking to purchase a 3D printer as a hobbyist, not for any commercial use. I have limited options with local 3D printers but that's good as they're mostly cheaper low end printers so I can look at them thoroughly.

When I'm comparing the different 3D printers I'm mainly looking at the following: Cost, nozzle diameter, layer height, volume, and viable filaments.

My question is, is there anything else I'm missing? Are there important things I should be considering or avoiding?

Different printers have different resolutions but for my purposes it looks like they're all highly accurate and way past what I need. Not worried about speed either. They all mention bed and nozzle temperatures but I assume they are all within the necessary range for the filaments they allow right? So does it matter?

Also, any advice for maintenance? How to make it last as long as possible any mistakes I should be wary of. Thanks.

What are the practical benefits of the fediverse?
  • How is that different than just making different smaller subreddits? I did notice some instances have themes, like tech or electronics. So is it that if one instance enshitifies there would be many other instances with tech related communities?

  • What are the practical benefits of the fediverse?
  • But are they different websites? I'm a bit confused because I just saw a link to what looks like a lemmy instant but the url doesn't start with a lemmy. So is it possible for someone to make a completely different website and for me to post with the same account I have now?

Say somebody makes a website with games like Kongregate or Newgrounds, could they let me post with this same account?

  • What are the practical benefits of the fediverse?

I don't fully understand how lemmy works completely yet. But for example I made an account at Division by zero and subscribe here to post. Is it not just a more inconvenient version of making a reddit account and being able to post practically anywhere?

Also what's the difference between making an account at one instant and just making one centralized account for the social media?
