I never figured out why people think that wood type matters for the tone of an electric guitar.

The vibrating string is not even touching the wood. Just spanned between a ridgid metal bridge and metal pegs. The electricity also does not run through the woods but through wires insulated by rubber. The pickups also don't pick up vibrations or sound from the wood since it contains no metal...

How did anyone even come up with the idea that wood matters for the tone.

The split between non-profit and for profit corporation and the amount the ceo earns should have warned anyone that they are not saints and will sell out their community if it makes them money.

Privacy is also practically not better than google, microsoft or apple unless you never send an e-mail to an adress from there. But since propably about 90% are hosted on either of them it does not really matter. Best to not use e-mails at all for any sensitive data about you.

The traditional reason for a manual was fuel and oil efficiency which was kinda miserable when automatic transmissions came up. However this reason has been long turned around where automatics are certainly more efficient.

Even in europe manual usage is dwindling.
