I've thought about typing this up a few times but have shied away every other time.
I don't think Pritzker is gonna be a player until next election, he's been cooking up stuff at home in Illinois to shore up his cred for a future run. From a Lib/Capitalist perspective he's doing the right things and hasn't waded into culture war at all, so I expect him to show up next time around as the guy for fascist suburbanites; a competent administrator and successful businessman with no drama or baggage.
On the one hand he said we should have stopped Israel, and on the other he said Israel should finish the job.
I wouldn't take his position on anything particularly seriously. He's a pragmatist, he knows Gaza is a weakness for Biden.
and that lady he's always on with
That's Mika Brzezinski, daughter of infamous cold warrior Zbigniew Brzezinski
No, if half the plane declines the meal then they wait and eat somewhere at their layover/destination. My flight is only 3 hours and the meal is complementary. If you don't like the analogy take it up with dumbass who wrote the New Yorker article and thought it was a clever thing to say in the first place.
And that's not even getting into Bain capital or the weird Mormon prophecies.
I understand the sentiment, but shouldn't posterity learn about the evil and hubris of the American Empire/US Presidents?
Probably in the same paragraph as the JFK/Nixon debate as the examples of positive and negative influence of televised debates in American politics.
the exact moment Biden sees The Reaper standing by the moderator table:
no longer asking, leave the shoes or I'll scratch your ankles
Yeah my best friend's cat Micky (also rip) was a fiend for shoes. He'd get mad at you for leaving because you were taking your shoes with you.
There were alot of those guys yeah but also US vets in various capacity trying to find themselves another war. The guy I posted below was on of them and he mentions there being other US vets there "volunteering" with him.
I think this is the guy, although the account is long deleted. he had Medic or something in his username He was going by u/spindokto and made a few posts over the Reddit Brigade saga
https://old.reddit.com/r/volunteersForUkraine/comments/tdmxqs/proof_for_everyone_in_denial/
(new and improved link; you lose all the dumbass reddit comments, but you can look at the pics he posted and his profile using waybackmachine link)
This was the 3rd or 4th post IIRC, directly after the Foreign Legion barracks got Iskander'd (or was it Kinzhal'd? I don't remember) and he was telling people to stay the fuck away because these weren't "a bunch of insurgents with AKs and Toyotas"
E) and for future reference, sometimes it's easier to search here for reddit posts as they get submitted to dunktank or whatever. That's how I got here, searching Hexbear comments for "Reddit Brigade" to find relevant thread, then look for reddit links in those threads.
E2) IIRC the next parts of his saga were admitting on reddit he and some other guys were going to disguise themselves as red cross to sneak out of the country. I don't think anyone here ever really kept tabs on them after that. Haven't been able to track down newer posts so far but I'm also losing interest so )
... and can anyone explain why he hangs a D*tch flag between the Canadian and US flags?
For years people have been touting a line about losing react time when you hit 23-24 years old, no idea if it's apocryphal or not I haven't personally seen a study or whatever.
I lost interest in competitive / PvP games well before then, they could be right and I wouldn't know. It isn't a noticeable issue if you only play map pervert games.
Hot Fuzz is sorta this. By-the-book metro cop gets reassigned to sleepy village with laxer law enforcement policy.
Except his excessive violence is sorta justified by the end, being that it's directed against the HoA Illuminati.
If most people performed their labor via a system akin to Uber or Doordash, then I'd be more inclined to agree.
IIRC he started this line of inquiry ~5 years ago when "Gigification of the Economy" was a point of discourse going around and I think in that context it would have been reasonable to go there, but otherwise I agree there's hairs to be split about the specific social relations and relations to production that make it hard to view it as regression as you noted.
