Decided I would try using Steam on PopOS.. I didn't realize how long it has been since I've apparently played a steam game
If it is common knowledge that shutting a garage door with a running ICE vehicle inside will kill you, why do you think so many people think 1 billion ICE vehicles aren't bad in the atmosphere?
FDA Rewrites Rules of 'Healthy' Foods For First Time in 30 Years, do you think this will be beneficial for the populace?
New 'doped' solid-state batteries can charge to 80 per cent in just nine minutes
SAE's NACS certification is ready, and it’ll fix every EV charging problem at once
Witness to the 1996 drive-by shooting of Tupac Shakur indicted on murder charge in rapper’s death
Yeah, the guy never lived in the U.S. I don't think.
If only we could swap the White House for a whore house. It'd be much more classy and respectable.
You know how a judge is supposed to excuse themselves from casting judgements on something that may be tied to their own interests...
How is it the Presidents family can own a media company and his administration is allowed to make ANY changes to current media policies?
The U.S. Census Bureau did an online poll of 1000 people? Where did you find that information? Even the short description lists 3 sources by name. But yeah people guessing 30% of the population lives in NYC is crazy. Strange guesses
Crossing fingers and hoping he says Trump would be in prison for attempting a coup in 2020 during this fall out.
Unfortunately I'm still under the mindset that this is all staged bs, so Musk can try to recover his image and try to sell product to the many people who refuse to buy from his companies.
I used to say 65, I'm thinking 61 would be better now. You should have to be mentally fit EVERY day of the job, so 4 years after you took the job, you still need to be at your best..
And to anyone who thinks a 61 year old is 100% cognitive, they are not. That's why air traffic controllers are forced to retire at 56. The government studied cognitive decline and said 56+ was not mentally capable. They think they still are, but they aren't.
Don't forget the contractors, we flooded the market with contractor positions for a few different reasons. Some having to do with firing practices, same with insurance practices.
Then there's the bids for jobs where contractors can take the job and some of those can be sketchy with subcontractors who may or may not be legally allowed to work or be getting paid rates that are legitimate.
Example: Beagal Cinema's says they want an overnight cleaning crew that will clean all the theaters/floors/bathrooms and such nightly. Another company tells them they can do it for $500(made up number) a night. Then that contractor hires anyone, say 4 people and they bring their kids. Run through and clean it all up between 3am-9am every morning. Each one of them takes home $100 a day, and the contract-owner keeps $100. Beagal isn't illegally hiring children in said case, and neither is the contractor, but the kids are having to work many nights a week with their parents to get the job done in time so they can be dropped off for school or maybe do homeschooling. (But those parents often don't speak English, so I assume they would want their kids to go to a school to learn english at the very least).
Worked at a theater that did that from 2006-2012. So it isn't a new thing.
The part that bothers me is how many people ignore and are trying to iron clad state that antisemetism is anti Jewish. Semites include Arabs as a well. Basically if you are looking down/hating on a group for their beliefs or languages, you probably fall into antisemetism. Thus if their logic that anti Israel is antisemetic, then anti the people from Gaza would also be antisemetic. Attacking Iraq, or Afghanistan who's official religions are Islam - anti semetic. Attacking Spain, we can call it antisemetism because I believe Catholicism is the official religion, and you guessed it. Christians fall under Semitic usually, because Jesus happens to stem from the middle east..
That's 1 sexy Gonk
Yeah, I think they are just pointing in the line of succession doesn't do much if the VP was chosen by the president. We only made it 4 electiona before the 12th amendment was made and killed any hopes that the line of succession would be useful and Washingtons hopes that we wouldn't become a 2 party system were completely dashed.
Without the 12th Amendment I have no idea who would be president right now. Biden would have never been Vice President and such likely would have never been President. Harris the same. But the President would likely have an obstacle at all times in the Senate as the only way to get both the President and Vice President elected for the same "party" they would have to have 2 candidates beat 1 of another party, splitting the vote of their own party. In today's media age, it would be really hard to have gotten that done.
So when you walk up to a terminal with your Visa and you tap your card it inputs a one time code. That code only matches up on the point of sale/banks end. If they take the same code and try to transmit it at say Wendy's, it won't work, as it has already been used. If someone swipes your card with a magnetic strip, or reads the numbers off manually and enters them online/in person/or over the phone the information will stay the same and can be used at elsewhere.
Most of the anti tap worries are unfounded fear. Also the terminals that allow payments for two to pay also get registered so if someone steals a terminal to modify it, the terminal would be reported stolen by the owner, or if the terminal was purchased by the theif, it would have to be registered by them, and once again can get an investigation pointed in their direction fairly quickly. Is it possible to beat, I'm sure, but it's MUCH easier to just jot down the numbers or skim thee strip
"must be good parenting skipped a generation"
Yeah I feel like years ago someone would have had to step down from their position and quit politics in shame for such a dishonorable statement.
Hoping someone shoots missiles and sinks civilians trying to feed the poor. What a terrible soul.
Interesting, that's good to know. I immediately tried to lock the woman's phone next to me by using her number, she didn't have it turned on either. I have an odd feeling someone is going to write a script that locks someone's phone screen at random intervals throughout the day. Schedule it as a task whenever they log into their work computer so you can watch them struggle with it throughout the day then end the task when they lock their screen/log off.
Okay so now I'm questioning where the line between soup and stew is...
Yeah, I couldn't get into my account on someone else's phone to wipe/trace down my phone. As I believe I'd need 2 factor authentication. Which while mobile I can't do without my phone. I'd have to wait till I got home and a device id previously been logged into.
I mean they did such in Ozark. The church selling drugs at church lol.
Best I can do is use it for small plane trips and powder the top of everything with baking soda. Side effects may include killing all plant life along common routes.
It used to be pertinent to check the color of WD drives. I can't remember all of them but of the top of my head I remember Blue dying the most. They used to have black, red and maybe a green model, now they have purple and gold as well. Each was designated for certain purposes / reliability.
