  • While season 4 was the peak, I think season 5 was still pretty good. I do agree it started downhill after that, but it was still entertaining. Season 8 was definitely a mess.

New Blood was also a lot of fun.

Also it's worth watching Original Sin. If the ship has already sailed you should at least watch all the ships. Plus, like New Blood, it was fun.

  • It is Homer who makes him something delicious... But he isn't supposed to eat it. He has to save...

  • You're getting closer, grease or perhaps another food-like substance is involved.

  • Nope, it's Professor Frink, Professor Frink, he'll make you laugh, he'll make you think!

    (But yeah.)

  • Father of the Year! Correct!

  • This is not the way to release a show.

It's holiday season, people are traveling and people are hanging out with different people who are in different states of watching the show.

January is the dump month, so I guess it's a free space, but huge miss.

  • Those are all excellent guesses, but not this episode. I would say this episode features Santa's Little Helper only for a short scene. He's perhaps not the best behaved in this scene.

  • Excellent guess, but that scene takes place at night.

In this scene Santa's Little Helper is with different members of the family.

  • Why does an ensign get stuck with a bunk in a hallway

Because space is the final frontier, there just isn't enough on a ship.

But actually I found the bunk in a hallway stuff weird. The ship at any given time is full of civilians, children, people preparing to colonize new worlds, etc. It seemed clear to me that everyone/every family had a nice little apartment they lived in.

I know this was different in the Lower Decks animated show, but was this true in live action?

I also think we see Ro Laren's quarters at some point and she has standard quarters.

  • From the videos description,

Better than an Alamo and almost as good as propane. An all new season of #KingofTheHill drops Aug 4th on Hulu and with #HuluOnDisneyPlus.

After years working a propane job in Saudi Arabia to earn their retirement nest egg, Hank and Peggy Hill return to a changed Arlen, Texas to reconnect with old friends Dale, Boomhauer and Bill. Meanwhile, Bobby is living his dream as a chef in Dallas and enjoying his 20s with his former classmates Connie, Joseph and Chane.

What a wild direction Hank's life took.

Also making Bobby's former bully Chane Wassanasong his friend is interesting.

  • Well... I watched Slow Horses... All four seasons.

Being only 6 episodes a season it was pretty quick. I grew to really enjoy it.

Gary Oldman is excellent and season 3 Lamb definitely deserved the nomination. Season 4 was great, but for Lamb specifically he just didn't have as many moments, so maybe he won't be nominated this time around.

Either way, well worth the time.

  • It's good that Bart did that. It's very good.

    Correct!

  • But then... where is the rest of the family?

  • I am confident no one is stealing Bart's Butterfingers in this episode.

  • Slow Horses.

It's 6 episode seasons, so it's easy to binge. The stakes are fairly low. The things the characters are doing is very important, but everyone is chill about it. Gary Oldman is a terrible/excellent boss.

It's a show that grows on you. I wouldn't strongly recommend it, but it's such a small commitment to get started, it's worth taking a look at.

  • Santa Clarita Diet. It's not too late (6 years ago) and they could still bring it back for a finale run of episodes or film.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. It's too late (16 years ago) but the show had just started to figure itself out and setup a HUGE cliffhanger that sadly goes nowhere.

We have seven confirmed dates and locations, but no further details about exactly what will be happening at those places and dates.

A series of premieres? I'm guessing this is one of those hype building things.

  • Sure, but there is a difference between "required reading" and backstory.

For example at the end of Iron Man 3 Tony destroys all of his various armor and Pepper Potts gets Extremis powers.

At no point after that is Tony missing/lacking for armor nor does Pepper have superpowers. The events of Iron Man 3 are not required to watch any future film.

However Iron Man 3 does deal with Tony trying to recover and handle the stress from the Battle of New York. You can't watch Iron Man 3 without having watched The Avengers.

But also, sometimes the film can just fill you in. Endgame makes a number of major references to Thor 2. Thor 2, at the time, was the lowest rated and likely least watched film. However Endgame just fills us in on the important parts of that film and we move forward.

Yes, watching the previous films is going to improve future tie-in plot points, but it isn't always necessary.
