CW: suicide" Several arrested after woman dies in 'suicide pod'
  • If you knew anything about assisted suicide, you'd know that it has always been a "legal grey area" in Switzerland. Medication is much more regulated in Europe than in America to the point where you can't buy Cough syrup without multi-doctoral approval.

Assisted suicide is legal by non-enforcement in Switzerland if you can consent and commence the suicide by yourself. In the traditional case this has been via Barbiturate self-intake. In theory, giving someone barbiturates for the purpose of facilitating suicide may be a crime, but it has never been enforced. By criminalizing NOx-assisted suicide, your are effectively criminalizing any chemical assisted suicide.

  • Guys it reminds of me of an episode in old-person future cartoon so it must be bad.

Note how every criticism of this is purely on aesthetic grounds. The American who used it was in pain and a had a lethal diagnosis.

The grounds of this arrest is extremely problematic and could set a precedent effectively making assisted suicide illegal. If buying NOx violates dangerous chemical acts/laws, what is stopping any shithead conservative org from going after assisted suicide via barbiturates? Or opioids?

  • Tech's broken promises: Streaming is now just as expensive and confusing as cable. Ubers cost as much as taxis. And the cloud is no longer cheap.
  • It surprises me a lot how many people use these services. Like, you're such a gullible dummy. TV? Pirate. Music? Newpipe and Bandcamp. Taxi? Random taxi company's web API or just call. Podcasts? Patreon and Black wolf feeds.

Like, I don't know how people end up paying so much for any of this shit. Even if I was a millionaire I wouldn't change because life's so easy. Why complicate things with a gazillion subscriptions and apps I don't want on my phone.

    DAE hate cities

I've lived in the city for my entire life. I hate the all the people ontop eachother, litter, noise, smells, dysfunction, snobbishness, traffic etc. I don't understand how seemingly most people want to move in the opposite direction. No, they are not hotbeds for muh crime wave and no, I am not paranoid or racist. The only time where the city is more or less livable is during summer break when half the population is being a plague somewhere else.

I can't wait to gtfo of here and live somewhere rural. Preferably somewhere so boring that it sees minimal tourism.
