I filed for unemployment 7 days ago, yesterday my former employer sent me a small amount of money, what’s going on here?

I also received a text letting me know that I should have my funds coming in the next week. I’m a bit confused as to why my company would send me some cash, does thus have something to do with the union and some sort of deal they’ve made about receiving holiday pay for a portion of the time I was fired? Or is the company trying to fuck me by telling DOL “actually we sent them money during this period when they told you we didn’t”

No idea what the fuck is going on. This isn’t severance pay either, doesnt exist at my job

  • Yeah. Don’t care about doxxing because this could be it for everyone, lol. My dad’s been in intelligence for about 8 years. Usually he’ll hint at things because we have banter over our ideological differences, but this time he’s just quiet. Think he knows something really big is gonna happen.

  • If you don’t think the spike of lantern flies across the US isn’t part of climate shifts then you simply don’t understand how dire the situation is. It is fact the lantern flies emigrated with the help of humans, but I don’t see why this important piece of information isn’t the most vital, why a species since 2014 has been able to flourish up till this year and not just in one season but all seasons.

From my perspective, I’ve seen lantern flies all year round when I used to only see them through during August-September. The concern here is climate and the way climate has shifted so much that species that have existed across the continent are content with cohabiting in a place pre 2014 would have been able to survive. Climate is 100% the issue here and lantern flies really are only one small portion of change we will actually be exposed to. Killing them in mass is futile, you might think you’re saving your ecosystem but frankly the ecosystem has already been claimed by the never ending and persistent increase of climate. Many creatures’s habitats have been destroyed, it feels like your solution to all this is the lib way of “vote them out” when the damage has already been done but not like last year twenty years ago. There is a buffer with climate change and we are about in the 1970s range of feeling the effects from that year. In the coming years more and more issues will arise, and you think that stomping on flies is going to help your problem. What about when there’s water shortages? What about when the soils are no longer fertile because the minerals required for plant growth seize to exist.

You think the solution is to encourage more death, the death is already here and it’s already approaching, the only thing you’re doing is adding to the chaos. We cannot change the course of nature as it stands. With the amount of toxic chemicals dispersed to drive profit of our produce, to the oils used to fuel the machines that cull them, you really think a fly is the issue.

  • That isn’t my point. The invasive species are a product of a man made cause which is forcing various species to seek alternative habitats due to the conditions created by the burgeroise and their endless quest for nonrenewable resources / wealth.

“Invasive” is a byproduct of the shifts in climate that we don’t take into consideration, the “invasive” species turning up and ruining new ecosystems is within itself because of the fact their ecosystems were destroyed in the first place. It baffles me because you don’t question the habitats before the migration, the issue now is “they’re in my habitat and must be destroyed.”

Its like the analogy of voting the lesser evil as if you’ll ever get your utopia out of them, the climate is destroyed, yes there is a 60 year buffer but if we are seeing species that have traveled across the pond and they are flourishing in our habitat that is less likely an issue of “invasive species” it’s the larger issue regarding the ever increasing speed at which climate is destroying entire ecosystems.

  • It’s funny that with no proof provided that lantern flies are a danger to domestic flaura, except that one (CIATimes) article demanding people squish the bugs with a lengthy full page worth of where the flies originated from (China) it’s just another massive propaganda drive to promote Sinophobia. Sure it’s as “little as swatting a fly” but that rhetoric still persists in the minds of those who don’t necessarily attempt any critical thinking.

Regardless the fact many more of these species will be introducing themselves to your homes within the coming years because of climate change, you still think that you can control nature? It’s honestly quite astounding the amount of people defending murdering innocent creatures because they are labeled “invasive”. I have a small garden of vegetables and herbs on my window, I also have families of lantern bugs living amongst the flaura, I gather about 70% yield which is still enough for me to be happy with. Where do these horror stories that “invasive species bad” come true.

You can’t be both sides of the the argument. You can’t be against climate change yet pro irradication of an “invasive species” the same way you can’t be pro invasive species yet against climate change being the cause. Climate change is the cause, and you will see more and more and more of these species seeking refuge where you live.

Another analogy, are you willing to let an immigrant family into your home? Or will you listen to the government and shut your doors to them because they are alleged “invasive”

You call yourselves communists lol, fuck off

  • Don’t kill it leave it be, it’s not your choice to kill a creature. There’s a lot of propaganda going around about “invasive species” invasive species exist because of the conditions humans have put them through, the reason these alleged invasive species turn up where you live is part of a larger issue. Killing them is like owning the electric car and thinking you’re helping reduce climate emissions, we are already fucked. That and it’s attached to Sinophobia since those species are native to china, it’s just another way to manufacture consent for hatred of Chinese. There are a plethora of other “invasive” species that exist all around you but they don’t get as much attention as they do lantern flies.

Pisses me off that farms can use deadly pesticides killing off bugs and other flaura yet the moment they see a lantern fly everyone loses their minds.

The world is getting hot. Get used to seeing more “invasive species”

  • Iran Raises Red Flag Of Revenge
  • And the inflated cost of McDonald’s meals predict WW3 the same way current affairs predict a plethora of scenarios, the burgeroise don’t want to drop nukes, nukes are a paper tiger. You should read more Mao because the kind Mao Zedong would send everyone here to hell

  • Iran Raises Red Flag Of Revenge
  • I get it, lots of users here are depressed but that doom has just infected every facet of their lives. Instead of taking the grill pill and submitting to not being able to do anything meaningful to change to course of history, they welcome the horrors that can be because deep down they want those horrors to materialize since they have already subjected themselves to living a life of misery.

  • Iran Raises Red Flag Of Revenge
  • You watch too many movies and spend too much time on hexbear absorbing this idea that nukes are gonna drop this year. Sometimes this place feels like Qanon facebook page with 4k users

  • I see a lot of support for the insect ants. Ants aren’t workers, ants aren’t proletariats, ants are an army of monarchists. They are the brits of insects They invade other ant colonies

They war with other colonies, they drive out several termite species rendering them extinct- along with other ground dwelling insects. They are also racist.
