Marilyn Manson - Sacrilegious
  • I think folks are reacting to allegations of sexual assault/rape (a few different women, including a minor).

Then there is the fact that his comeback tour is with Five Finger Death Punch, a band that glorifies police and demonizes mask wearers in their lyrics.

  • Daniel Bellinger on blown facemask call: I asked for an explanation and didn't get any
  • It's actually laughable how underdeveloped the rules around review are. I understand that some of that is an attempt to protect the refs ability to make decisions on the field, but this kind of thing is exactly the situation where there should be a review of it done without there even being a challenge flag thrown.

For a league generating $13 billion/year in revenue and paying out ~$400 million/year per team, there is a real lack of investment in actually running the games smoothly.

  • Did a top NIH official manipulate Alzheimer's and Parkinson’s studies for decades? (alt: Eliezer Masliah's papers under investigation)
  • Reading about this is making me feel sick. It's so sad how many people's lives have been negatively affected because of this Masliah's dishonesty. I think people who fake research like this belong in jail.

Sadly I think low key dishonesty is even more prevalent than what this guy did - the way we dole out money encourages researchers in every field to cherry pick data so that they can keep getting funding.

  • Does Anyone Have Experience with Electronic Nectar Collectors?
  • If you really want to take bigger dabs, a rig may be worth considering. In my experience nectar collectors are extremely inefficient. It's also hard to pack enough thermal mass in there to properly vaporize a large hit.

  • It's like you get to play the main character in a movie - a really good movie. I would agree, it's one of the best games ever!

  • Can't forget The Last of Us

  • Seahorse Propaganda [OC]
  • There are actually 46 species of seahorse, they make up the genus Hippocampus.

This would definitely have gone up on the wall at my college's sexual health and wellness center!

  • Anon interviews for a job
  • Part of my last job actually was taste testing water. A very small part lol takes about 20 seconds all told from grabbing the cup to filling it and then tasting it a few times to make sure it's good and then recycling the cup.

  • Stretched Out

    Anything got you feeling stretched?

    Anon faces his greatest challenge
  • When they say it doesn't "really" snow, what do they mean? My experience has been that we are getting less snow than before, but still at least a few feet per season. If you look back at historical records, the difference in snowfall hasn't been so dramatic.

  • Medli's Got Moxie

She's having a good morning and looking good while she's at it!

  • I imagine making this must have been a meditative process

  • "Wish I Had a GC"
  • A good cookie, green car, gas chromatograph, amongst other things. What comes to mind first for you?

  • No Quarter - Led Zeppelin

Song of the Day: Take Five by The Dave Brubeck Quartet
  • Great recommendation!! That was awesome! That might be my new favorite rendition of take five :o

  • [NEW] Porter Robinson - Cheerleader
  • I like this pretty well, feels like it has the fullness of sound from Worlds that I was missing on Nurture

  • Spyro Gyra - After Hours (Jazz Fusion Masterpiece)
  • Bomb album, thanks for the recommendation. Other highlights for me were Feelin' Fine, Open Door, Florida Straits, and Three Gentlemen.

Spyro Gyro albums are consistently impressing me :D

  • If you say you enjoy it, then I think you already know the most important way to understand this kind of art. IMO understanding art is very personal, you don't have to be right or wrong.

  • "Frustration"

  • I like the finer line work in this one, it provides a nice contrast to the wider, bolder strokes. Somehow it makes the piece more emotional for me.

Did you give this one a name?

  • Meet Medli

She has grown some stately whiskers by now!

Pen on printer paper doodle. I recently acquired some higher quality paper which will hopefully help with the feathering.
