Murder by Numbers:
Playing through the extras. It's just picross. I think it's pretty fun.
Clannad Side Stories:
Trash, as expected. We also have some fun new reactionary opinions that didn't get covered in base Clannad: "not graduating high school means you're going to be a failure in life" and "your wife, who you admit you verbally abused, and were too busy with work to be with on her deathbed, actually always loved you and says she had a good life with you". Reading/watching Clannad is an impressive look at how much of a boomer it's possible for a guy in his late 20's/early 30's to be.
Journey
When I finished, a friend of mine I was in call with remarked that I never ran into another player, which is the one thing that really makes this game so special. I certainly didn't feel the hype, but I obviously didn't have the intended experience.
Fatal Twelve:
I think it's a good premise hampered by uninteresting prose. I played this company's most recent game, UsoNatsu, a few weeks ago, and that shows some significant improvement from Fatal Twelve.
Flowers: Le Volume sur Ete:
I picked this up because it is the absolute favorite series (the first 2 games, at least) of one of my friends, and I'm honestly a bit concerned for them after having played it. I feel like this game is pretty obviously depicting sexual harassment while not really understanding that's the territory it's in. It makes for an extremely uncomfortable read.

They got the Witness, which I remember liking a lot. Murder by Numbers is picross with a cute Ace Attorney-ish backdrop.
This really sucks. At least I'd almost finished grabbing everything I need from there, but still.

Eastward might be the only one I've played tbh. Good game tho.
I played WoW for over 10 years, and I can barely think of anything I did that left much of a lasting impression. Without friends who play it, there's nothing to draw me back in, Playing good single player games with compelling writing has left me enjoying my time playing games way more, and having more to share with other friends who also play games. This has become a thing I can share with my partner way more that if I was still playing WoW for hours a day.
And they came to the megathread to cry about it even more.
This is exactly the steam deck I always said I wanted. I'm really tempted to get it.
Hoarding a copy of every game you might want to eventually play is cool actually. I love it.
I think I will. I've just been transitioning for so long without any real regrets at the choices I've made so far, and I've just been hit out of nowhere with this whole "what if I'm just reaching for these surgeries and signifiers of what a woman is 'supposed' to be or have because deep down I don't feel secure in myself".
Some really not great trans feels hitting me right about now.
If I ever grab another linux computer, I might try this instead of lutris, given that I already have a couple games I couldn't figure out how to get working without proton.

I finally got covid. I can't completely isolate myself from the outside world, so I knew it wasn't really possible to avoid it forever, but still.

Lol yeah that's what I did with a 2tb ssd. Thankfully there is a big enough VN scene to help get me up to speed and now I know how to configure most things.
