300GB install. Textures not included.
  • Yes, but it's misleading. Since CoD has a new launcher, that 300 GB includes MW2, MW3, and BO6, and each game can be downloaded separately. Since the games share a significant amount of code and assets, doing it this way actually saves space.

  • What is the Alabama of your country?
  • Also, historically that's way more of an Appalachian (and especially West Virginian) thing. Isolated mountain passes meant that for some families, they were the only people for miles. The Deep South is mostly flat plains and swamplands, thus they had less incest.

  • Unannounced Bethesda games leak, including Dishonored 3 and a new Doom
  • Crazy to think I was there live when this got leaked. For context: A person on Famiboards (a tech-focused Nintendo forum) was combing through the FTC v. Microsoft case files for potential Switch 2 information, and noticed that some of the pages had an unusually large filesize for simple PDFs. Another user told them that PDFs can have attachments and that Firefox can view PDF attachments, which is where all of these emails were. Some rando noticing "hey, these files are really big" to accidental corporate espionage pipeline.

  • Tears of the Kingdom producer confirms that there is currently no DLC planned and they will likely be moving on to a new game
  • According to the 2022 Nvidia leak, the Switch 2 uses a custom chip named the T239 Drake, based on the T234 Orin. Still unclear as to whether it'll use Ampere or Ada Lovelace architecture, but given that the recent VGC report said just DLSS and not frame generation, I think it's more likely to be the former.

  • From what other reports have stated, this will likely have the raw power of a PS4, but will be effectively supercharged by DLSS. With Nvidia making DLSS 3.5 compatible with all RTX 20 series and up cards, I wouldn't be surprised if it's on this system. I'd say something like Series S while docked, Steam Deck while portable.

  • My prediction is that we'll have an original 2D Zelda in the meantime. Link's Awakening 2019 sold incredibly well, and it was likely a proof of concept for the developer Grezzo to make a new one. The same happened in 2017 with Metroid: Samus Returns, a remake of a Game Boy game (Metroid II: Return of Samus) by an outside developer (Mercury Steam) that was a proof of concept for that developer to make an original entry (Metroid Dread).

  • What's a minor conspiracy theory you and/or someone you know believes?
  • Actually, there's some evidence as to how ancient Americans discovered nixtamalization. Among pre-agricultural societies across the world, a common method of boiling water before the invention of earthenware was to dig a hole with the water, put a rock in a nearby fire, and drop the heated rock, called a pot boiler, into the water. What they discovered is that if you used limestone, which is common across the Americas, as a pot boiler, the resulting reaction between the heated limestone and water made limewater, providing the necessary alkaline environment for nixtamalization.

My mom thinks that Eleanor Roosevelt and Lyudmila Pavlichenko were secretly a couple.
