it's a big deal jack
  • It's really clear to me that that was trumps entire playbook. He more of his time attacking Biden and spouting lies and bullshit than answering the questions. It went exactly how I expected.

I had really hoped that Biden would find his public speaking voice. He's competent but not a great speaker.

  • I ordered my daughter a pizza, something I don't usually do. I got Domino's smallest size with two toppings. I got her cheese sticks and two sauces and tipped the driver 20%. $31.07.
  • If you call or go in, always ask if they can see if they can get the best price for you and say you saw a good deal somewhere but couldn't remember exactly what it was.

Domino's hates selling smalls so they're typically the most expensive. They sell significantly more medium and large than small.

  • Gretchen Whitmer says Biden isn't getting credit for the infrastructure law because voters are 'stressed out'
  • Improving roads has secondary effects. First is people must be paid to do the work, meaning money in laborers pockets, though I'm sure execs are also lining their pockets...

Second, goods and services use roads, notably highways and interstates.

Third, better roads do allow cities that are reasonably close together to benefit from each other. Smaller cities with less jobs can have people commute to wherever the jobs are, typically in larger cities.

I agree that the states are too dependent on vehicle infrastructure, but we definitely still need it.

  • No tipping
  • I raised a small handful of cows for a bit growing up. Tipping them over never crossed my mind because they're huge, heavy and strong. You would have to use a tractor or other machinery and that's just animal abuse at that point.

  • Russians behead Ukrainian soldier in Donetsk Oblast
  • Yes. I'm aware that this conflict is technically over a decade long and there's huge amounts of propaganda from both sides trying to portray themselves and the hero/victim.

I am certainly always open to learning more than I have access to though.

  • Russians behead Ukrainian soldier in Donetsk Oblast
  • Yes. We should care. Russia is the aggressor here. They deserve to at least be condemned.

I'm not saying Ukraine is perfect and I'm sure my world view is altered by propaganda in some way, but at its base, Russia invaded Ukraine and if Russia is committing war crimes, they should not be supported.

If Russia had never invaded, that soldier could instead be at home with family or friends, alive.

  • Just a reminder
  • Right. Not without truly shifting a substantial amount of people. Maybe there's a way to start shifting the republican base and get them to wake up and change how they vote. Maybe there just needs to be a huge education campaign.

There's so much that can be done that is difficult and might ultimately have little to no impact, but if no one does nothing, then nothing happens.

  • Just a reminder
  • We need to start pushing other parties. This doesn't change for as long as we keep dems and repubs.

However, I'm voting blue for prez and over any repub for the foreseeable future.
