It looks like a copy of Snake Tales. The art on this one is a bit rougher than what I recall from Snake Tales, but the style is the same.
"Correlation is not causation" is the phrase I use in that situation.
I had back surgery Nov 29 last year. Surgeon told me I'd never run again. This morning I ran a 29.35 at ParkRun. Never give up.
I injured my spine (at work) in 2022, but didn't realise I had injured my spine. I thought it was a hamstring injury. I gradually dialled back the running to try and allow the "hamstring" to heal. I continued working. I stopped running in March '23. I discovered the extent of the injury in July when I got an MRI (just over a year after the injury). I was told I'd never run again.
I had surgery at the end of November last year. I was cleared to return to work a couple of weeks ago. I was made officially redundant last week (unofficially it was retaliation from my employer for daring to refuse his offer of a private payout and opt for WorkCover instead).
I ran a 32:43 at ParkRun this morning. I'm pretty happy. Unemployed, but happy.
Death on Two Legs - Queen
On Monday I get to start running again. I had surgery on my lower back at the end of November last year after a disc injury done in April 2022. I'm finally cleared to run again. 😁😁😁
This is the only correct answer.
After having a back injury that has kept me from running all year, I finally had surgery at the end of November.
2023: I have walked two ParkRuns (23rd and 25th December) since surgery. 2024: Run. I'm not allowed (surgeon's instructions) to run until at least March, but hopefully after that I'll be out of the gate like a Melbourne Cup winner!
Sharp tools. Check them before you start. Check them after an hour or more of sustained use. Replace (disposable) blades more often. Sharp tools make work easier and safer, and you have the added benefit of a cleaner finish on the cut.
I haven't laughed so hard in ages.

The primary form of text communication in Australia is sms. I do a bit of regional travel in Australia and after adopting "chat features" (RCS) in the Google sms app I started having critical messages failing to go through (without notifying me) because of poor (data) reception and it wasn't falling back to sms.
I love the features RCS brings to messaging and would love to use it, but it's just not reliable without an uninterrupted data connection.
What should I display on my second monitor (related to the game I'm playing, of course)? What can I display on my second monitor?
I'm playing on a self-hosted VaultHunters server.
What my mother called "allergy testing."
Basically, myself and my siblings were placed on a diet that consisted of rice cakes (the puffed-rice-compressed-discs-of-bland type) and margarine for a few days to "detox." Then we were introduced to foods to see if we had an "allergic reaction." Two things stand out in my memories.
-
I specifically recall the sensation of waking in the middle of the night to vomit my "dinner" all over myself: an entire plate of overcooked, boiled, green (string) beans. This meant, to my deluded mother, that I was allergic to string beans. I'm not. Unfortunately, though, I couldn't stand the taste of string beans for about 30 years after that.

Going to birthday parties as an eight year old and bringing your own rice cakes (the puffed-rice-compressed-discs-of-bland type) and margarine and not being able to partake of the cakes and candy and soda and other sugary deliciousness was both soul cruising and humiliating.

My mother currently has dirt floors.
No, it isn't. They will just refuse. They will die and their vegan friends will call them heroes or martyrs or both, and everyone else will still be alive with their porcine kidneys, laughing and drinking and eating and making love and not thinking about the vegans that died because they didn't want porcine kidneys.
Wow! These gender reveals are really getting out of hand!
I don't own them, so I don't know about storage. The handles are on the same side as the rods so carrying them should be easy enough.
I see these a lot in my city.
It depends.
- If you are dining, then place it on the far side of your plate.
- If you are sitting at a table, but not dining, then place it approximately halfway between the dining position and the table edge.
- If you are standing by the table, then I'd go with about 4"-6" from the table edge.
- If you are standing by the table in a high traffic area, then I'd go with 6"-8".
- If you notice someone nearby who is particularly animated when speaking, then I'd aim for the centre of the table.
This answer assumes the table in question is a dining table. Coffee tables are a whole different kettle of fish; and don't even get me started on side tables, bureaus and credenzas!
