Last time I was gonna by blades at the local store was about 10 years ago. I was sufficiently miffed at the corporatocracy's price skimming and gouging that I hopped on the intertubes and bought about $20 worth of twin- or triple-blade cartridges from India. And there will likely be inventory on hand when I die.

I read something earlier that said the explosion was the result of 'dust compression.' I've never heard of that, and suspect it's wrong. It's a volatile atmosphere in the proper stoichiometric ratio and a single spark could set it off.

Compression would be like a diesel engine, and i don't see how that level of compression could occur in a silo.

If'n somebody knows more about a compression explosion in this situation, please enlighten me.

I enjoy doing things that I'm not very good at, particularly in light how long I've been at it. But I do it for myself and my own pleasure. So I stay at it and continue having fun. Don't be too hard on yourself as we're all headed into the unknown. The only thing a boat's wake tells is where it's been.

One great thing about society is how it takes all kinds. We all have our long and our short strengths. And when we're all thrown into the mix, we get here, on Lemmy for example. You're obviously skilled enough to get here and communicate your perspective.

Like so many things, they only seem expensive until you try to make your own.

It's an important life skill, being able to plant a thought in the mind of another and in a way that is likely to be accepted.

It crossed my mind since my last writing that, in the 80s, I got a money back guarantee for any counter-surveillance equipment purchased that didn't reveal surveillance equipment in a Fortune 100 facility. It was that pervasive back then. And my perception is that morals and business ethics have not improved in the interim. Far from it.
