The Steam Summer Sale is live now!
  • I really need to try to get back into it. I have heard so many great things and I know it's a slow burn type game but I think I overwhelmed myself with trying to get perfect rolls on interactions.

  • Stay Mad, Tankies
  • I was talking to some friends and I don't get independents at this point. If you don't know who you're voting for and need to see this debate to decide, you haven't been paying attention to the past 8 years.

  • Bandai Namco Studios, developer of Tekken 8, sees negative annual income for the first time since founding
  • Yeah, I wouldn't say it was some groundbreaking scandal because almost all live service games have microtransactions now, unfortunately. It's like man yelling at cloud to be mad about them now because they exist probably forever. The T8 shop were not super expensive items either. I come from the Blizzard/Activision side of gaming and skins in those games can be as much as the base game itself.

  • Some say they intentionally didn't release the character costume cash shop until after the release of the game as to not taint the reviews of the game. They always say the money go towards upkeep and future development but still charge for season passes and characters that are locked behind that.

  • Best Soulslike game for beginners?
  • I guess the tuning of the game. With Sekiro there was, for the most part, a general linear path that you did to complete the game. You could go in some different ways but for the most part it was linear. With Elden Ring you can go in any way and as people have said, if you get stuck, go somewhere else and get higher level and go back. But I don't like leaving so I would proceed to get dumpstered over and over and get frustrated which is entirely my own fault. But, in Sekiro it seemed like the difficulty of the encounters were created in regards to where you were in the story and even though they were hard, were better tuned to your character power. I bet co-op would be a ton of fun and could make my play through more enjoyable if I got back into it.

  • Best Soulslike game for beginners?
  • I very much enjoyed Sekiro and it led me to Elden Ring that I then, in turn, did not enjoy at all. haha Sekiro feels much more approachable but it doesn't have the replayability of other Souls games.

  • Getting older so I've decided I need to get into a routine of working out.
  • I can second both of these channels. Jeff is more straight forward and family friendly and Dr. Mike is as straight forward (maybe not straight tho, you'll know if you watch a video lol) but with added comedic effect and maybe a bit more 'bro'y'. Both are excellent channels for information though potentially more for intermediate lifters but you can def get great information for a beginner. They will mostly talk about sleep/diet/training as the biggest things early. Don't try to complicate anything or do anything crazy. Another resource you can look into is Starting Strength by Mark Rippetoe which will focus on the big three lifts of dead lift/bench/squat. Those lifts can be intimidating in the beginning because they are all compound lifts but will yield great results for full body strength and get a base.

Be kind to yourself in the beginning and consistence is very important. Good luck!

Also, if you really want someone to tell you what to do Renaissance Periodization has an app that will make workouts for you. It is expensive though I think $200/6 months but it will adapt to you and do everything for you. I have yet to try it but I've considered it.

  • Stop Using Your Face or Thumb to Unlock Your Phone
  • I was mowing my lawn and learned about that feature. A nice ladies voice came through my bluetooth headphones asking if I needed help lol. You can change what the button spam does and I changed it to call my mom instead.

  • sleep paralysis
  • I haven't had an episode in a long time but I would try to tell myself to just breathe through it. The moving an extremity would help too. The worse part was that I'd get them in bunches. If one happened I'd have to stay awake for a bit or I'd get them over and over. Thankfully never saw any demons; just a vision of my surroundings but I couldn't move.

  • Do you sit at a desk and keyboard for multiple hours? If yes, please recommend a good chair.
  • I've had a refurb one for 8 years now and like it. I sit in it every day for multiple hours but it's meant to force you into an ergonomic position. The mesh feels good but the added benefit is that it is much much easier to clean than a pad.

  • A perfect article reading experience
  • The ability to sync tabs from Firefox mobile to desktop and vice versa is a huge selling point of desktop Firefox use. I'm not well versed in the best desktop browsers but when I swapped three months ago to double Firefox I've been very happy.
