So according to the Chief, their detective did not interview the surviving victim of the crime before talking to the press. Snappy police work there. "We're not bigots who enabled this murder by ignoring the prior complaints of the victims, we're just really stupid. Golly!"
I hope this drags on for months.
He was only off by a little less than a trillion dollars.
Oh good, more fucking DARVO from our conservative psychopaths.

An Atari 800XL. Custom OS loaded into a BASIC interpreter at startup unless you put a bootable floppy in the external 5.25" drive. We would load up DOS on the external drive and then boot whatever games my dad had pirated from his buddies. Played bootleg Ultima IV, Castle Wolfenstein (the original original one, not the 3D one) and a bunch of others. We had two cartridges (Pengo and Galaxian), but we also had 100s of games in a big shoe box of floppies.
I also learned BASIC on it at a pretty young age, which helped push me into technology as a career path, though I had to unlearn a lot of that when I got to high school and took real programming courses.
Because the kind ones take on the burdens of the world even if it breaks them, while the cruel and careless think only of their own gain and never suffer for the plight of others.
There is a lot of history of violence against LGBTQ people that the media and police swept under the rug. Most famously the arson of the Upstairs Lounge which killed 32 people, the media covered it until they found out it was a gay bar then buried the story. The arson was unsolved despite having evidence and witnesses placing Robert Dale Nunez at the scene screaming "burn" minutes before the blaze.
They are going to find out chromosomes are super complicated. There are XY AFAB cis women and we don't actually know how common they are because we don't test for it.
Play Over the Edge and those can actually be your stats.
Me: I have been using Linux professionally for 20 years, I can edit fstab.
Also Me five minutes later: I am glad I have live boot stick handy.
It looks like the list of at-risk groups eligible for the vaccine will be pretty extensive so you might be able to get it in the US with a bit of creativity.
Ah yes, I remember that part of the Bible where Jesus healed the sick, but only if they weren't dirty freeloaders.
In Europe after the Black Plague the value of peasants increased significantly contributing to social and economic reforms. Lower birth rates can accomplish the same feat with less suffering.
These asshole can't stop fucking me over.
Middle School (Mississippi): Basically all lies: having sex with a condom will give you AIDS, abortions are evil and most women who get them die of cancer or suicide. Even 6th grade me knew that shit was fucking wrong, but I was already on thin ice in that school for fucking up the curve, thank Homosexual Jesus that I was only there half a year.
Junior High (New Jersey): Skip ahead to 9th grade. Sex-Ed was taught by a terrified gym teacher who was just adorable. This was pretty comprehensive, lots of biology and factual information. It was the early 90s so a big part of it was teaching how to avoid getting HIV, teaching both abstinence and condoms. Some mention of same-sex relationships, but when asked about the risk of HIV transmission from lesbian sex he blanched and said he didn't know. No real fault here given the time period. They also taught various forms of birth control and other STIs. There was an undercurrent of promoting abstinence but also some pragmatic realism. In retrospect it could have been better, but compared to most of the country it was very good.
Ultimately, the plant stumbled upon the most advantageous adaptation on the planet - being useful to humans.
Well now I want one.
If you look at how the Missouri GOP works they will sandbag any campaign to vote against the repeal, run ads saying a yes vote is a vote for women's rights actually and muddy the waters so much that voters don't know what to do and either vote inadvertently for the wrong thing or stay home because they aren't sure and then the evangelicals will bus people directly from church to the polls and the repeal will squeak by.
Missouri really hates democracy, this isn't even the first time they've gone to great lengths to overturn the will of the people.
