Today, I left windows behind for good
  • If you value your time and want to save money before you go the hardware route try a cloud gaming platform like Geforce Now. Get the top tier account, you will always have the best graphics, you can run on any of your existing hardware, and you can fire up additional rigs for your children/friends. If the games you like are available, you never have to wait for updates. If you enjoy modding games this is not for you. All that money you were going to throw at the cpu etc can, if you want, be put towards a really nice monitor and controllers both of which typically outlast the cpu anyway.

  • Report: Apple isn’t paying OpenAI for ChatGPT integration into OSes
  • Like Google did with user queries and crawling data. I’m just saying everyone is happily giving these companies data. You are welcome to not use the GPT functionality just like you are welcome to use DuckDuckGo. I’m not getting the hostility to Apple. Microsoft on the other hand…

  • Apple argues in favor of selling Macs with only 8GB of RAM
  • For Christ’s sake it’s an option in a configuration for an eff’n laptop. Don’t buy that option if you don’t like it. And if you don’t like paying for Apple stuff go buy a PC. But please let this go, it’s been months!!

  • The Miseducation of Kara Swisher
  • Hindsite is 20/20, what a hit piece. How about just go after the tech industry instead of a journalist. I read the book and she was never a pushover that’s why most of the tech bros respected her.

  • Someone should remind you that Israel was around in pre biblical times. I have no dog in this fight but trying to claim that an Arabic people were there first is rich. The problem Israel has is that it is a point between many world powers and is constantly being taken over and ruled by them as their power ebbs and flows. It just happens at this point in time Israel, now reestablished, can defend itself. (I don’t condone either sides actions)

Now, I feel dirty defending Jarod.

  • The economics of coffee
  • In commodity situations whomever is at the top of the pyramid will always reap the most profit. The commodity producers would have to band together to set prices. Problem is banding groups together is almost impossible.

Coffee growers need an OPEC. 🤔

  • The economics of coffee
  • This isn’t imperialism, the growers are selling a commodity. Redistribute the profits from the coffee shops to the growers and the whole system colapses because there would be no coffee shops.
